In the market for a new 1-2 person tent. Mine died a tragic death this morning and my hammock was destroyed last night. Suggestions?

My tent just kind of wore out finally. It was a super cheap tent I bought at Academy for like $39 five years ago. A bunch of the seams were coming loose, it had a couple holes in the mesh, and then both poles broke when I set it up Saturday night. So I got pissed and cut it in to about 30 pieces.

My hammock... I set it up Saturday night, got in it to make sure it was good to go. When I got out, my cousin wanted to get in so I told her to go for it. She climbed in and it immediately went to the ground. Ripped the mesh cover apart from the nylon bottom. It also ended up with a couple of 3-6" tears in the nylon. Not exactly sure what caused it to fail but oh well.

I have two Nemo tents, a Switch one man and a Losi 2P. Both have been awesome. The Losi has the option for a "garage" but I don't have it.

Also, check out the new Big Agnes line called MtnGLO, things have led lights built into the tent. Pretty slick. Yes, you can do the same thing with the $20-40 kit from REI. This is just a little cleaner.

I love the Big Agnes mtnGLO tents but they're a bit out of my price range.

I tell ya, that Nemo Galaxi is an awesome unit. Comes with footpad as well (normally $40-50) and it has more mesh than the Losi I have. Wish it was out when I bought my Losi.

You're right, I did say 1-2. But I'm going to need room for the pup as well which I didn't take into account.

Think I'm going to pick up that Galaxi this weekend.

Getting ready for our big family summer road trip to Ohio. We're going to be staying at the Kabins at KOAs. Hot Springs National Park KOA, Horse Cave KOA, Canton / East Sparta KOA, Corbin / Laurel Lake KOA and Starkville KOA.

I debated quite sometime on an ARB Fridge and decided against it. I ordered up a Yeti 65 instead. Also ordered up a Coleman PerfectFlow Insta Start Grill Stove w/ a griddle.

Should have got the ARB. Or any cooler besides a Yeti. They're overpriced and perform about the same as a $50 Coleman.

I just got my 50,000 btu stove. Wow. It's about 30% larger - and I suppose for the output, it should be bigger! Can't wait to try it. Also cutting a 12 x 12 porcelean tile down to 9 x 9.5. I am going to use it inside the colman oven to balance/even the heat. Can't wait to try that either. Friend has one and it's like a party with all the coffee cake, bisqets, roasted chicken, etc.
