Thanks guys. It's all bought not built.... lol ... except for the amsteel suspension. That I learned how to tie knots for.

Brutalguyracing on the other hand has done most of his own stuff to his hammocks to keep cost down. Think he is rocking a $40 ENO with bags he made up himself out of old sleeping bags.

Sean - only drawback is going to sleep hammered and it keeps swaying.

Using a paint pen to stencil on the box label on some new Plano boxes for camp gear. It will be nice to have boxes that stack right in the 4R.

Thanks, painters tape makes a great stencil when my sandwich maker uses her Cricket to cut the letters out. We put the labels on the top and both ends so as we can identify the box when stacked as well.

Us people that are lacking the sight they once had tend to rely upon shapes and colors for identifying stuff. Much the same manner I identify women. :)

I need something like that for all the stuff sacks I have. Problem with going ultralight is everything is in stuff sacks and they all look the same.

Can you get name tapes sewn onto the stuff sacks? You can order the custom name tapes pretty easy/cheap online; then any person with a decent sewing machine can put them on.

I'm thinking of copying above and just making some quick templates then writing on them with silver sharpie. All the bags are sill nylon so marker should work. Only issue may be a few I have that are coated with DWR. We shall see. Been needing to do this for a while. Even marking the head and foot for my hammock and under quilts would be nice. Right now I just have yellow cordage marking the head side of the bags.

LOL... not looking to add any weight, but not a bad idea.

It's a mix. 4 waterproof stuff sacks and the rest that are just sill nylon.

One thing I really need to address is my storage of medical supplies. Everything is in an unmarked bag and I never go over what I'm carrying with others. From my last wheeling experience at RC I can say none of us did the right thing nor have any of us ever on any of the trips I have taken. No one showed each other where their supplies were and we had zero talk prior to wheeling what the plan would be should someone get injured. Need to start thinking about these things more often. My sister and I sat down for a good half hour before I took her kids camping...and also sat down her oldest so he understood what was expected of him should we get separated and he had to care for his little brother.
