Depending on weather I might setup my new 4 man on Saturday night. Might be the last time I get to try it out until Fall. :)

Just ordered a Teton 4person for my 2 Scouts

Glad to see you not going for the same ol scouts a-frame everyone has. One of these days I need to post a pic of a trip we took a few years ago. We had about 4-5 tents on our spot and 2 were the same (Eureka Timberline). We go kayaking and 8 hrs later we come back and we are surrounded by what seems to be hundreds of our same A frame tents. Scout troop from another state rolled in. I always wondered how they knew who's tent was who's. It was nothing but row upon row of the same exact tents.

They gave us Pizza the one night. We were like WTF.... who has hot pizza in the woods? We accepted and it was scarfed down in minutes.

Even better was that we never planned out trips and just went when we had time (mostly last minute). Two years in a row we camped at the same exact place on the same exact weekend as them as neighbors and they were a troop from PA. Small world.

You can make pizza in the large Dutch oven pots

Yep last Feb, iced over night, good thing this dad has good tents because our tents were in great shape with the extra weight, others not so much...

When I was a BoyScout we had these canvas A-frame tents that weighed about 20lbs a piece. No floor and I can't recall what they used for poles. I just remember them being heavy as hell.

These guys must of picked them up. Had something like 15 boxes worth and they had extra they gave to us. Always good idea to keep your neighbors happy lol

I just got a dutch oven, but it's for home use. The days of carrying around cast iron for camping are over....unless I get a samwich maker one day and she wants to cook. My lazy ass boils water only

Ive never camped in ice. We got a few inches of it last week. Every pine tree in this state got decimated. Weight of the ice coupled with low temps and high winds hurt them bad.

Wait... how old are you? Father time?

On a camping gear note... I want to see one of these up close. I like 95% of the design. I'd move the spare tire to a swingout and use the space for the tire for some thing else. Fuel maybe. Also add water storage underneath it.

I figured you were less than 40.

About time a large US manufacturer started making them. Hopefully as more people start buying/selling them the pricing will come down on some of the other brands. Shittybuilt prices always seem to good to be true. Probably welded by 7yo girls in a ISIS sweat shop lol

Quadratec is within driving distance of me. If anyone's really serious about one of these I could go check them out, but it would cost you a $20 service (2hr drive for me). and no not $20 dollars

I want to see one but I'll wait until some reviews come out. I actually called up Quadratec but I was on hold for about 12-15 minutes and said "Fuck these Jeep fags" and hung up. :)

Better than the group we camped with. I had to go to the leader (drunk fathers) and try to get them to stop tagging the rocks with OFF (bug repellent).

lol - I may be old but as Ms Roger reminds me, I look much younger than all of my classmates and contemporaries and I fuck like I'm 18.

Okay, maybe she didn't say that last part! lol

In my mind only. My oldest is 26 and I was in my 20's when she was born. Closer to General Grant by a good ways.
