Just ordered a Teton 4person for my 2 Scouts

They gave us Pizza the one night. We were like WTF.... who has hot pizza in the woods? We accepted and it was scarfed down in minutes.
Even better was that we never planned out trips and just went when we had time (mostly last minute). Two years in a row we camped at the same exact place on the same exact weekend as them as neighbors and they were a troop from PA. Small world.
Glad to see you not going for the same ol scouts a-frame everyone has. One of these days I need to post a pic of a trip we took a few years ago. We had about 4-5 tents on our spot and 2 were the same (Eureka Timberline). We go kayaking and 8 hrs later we come back and we are surrounded by what seems to be hundreds of our same A frame tents. Scout troop from another state rolled in. I always wondered how they knew who's tent was who's. It was nothing but row upon row of the same exact tents.

Yep last Feb, iced over night, good thing this dad has good tents because our tents were in great shape with the extra weight, others not so much...
When I was a BoyScout we had these canvas A-frame tents that weighed about 20lbs a piece. No floor and I can't recall what they used for poles. I just remember them being heavy as hell.
old... but not Roger old.. close though.![]()

On a camping gear note... I want to see one of these up close. I like 95% of the design. I'd move the spare tire to a swingout and use the space for the tire for some thing else. Fuel maybe. Also add water storage underneath it.

Better than the group we camped with. I had to go to the leader (drunk fathers) and try to get them to stop tagging the rocks with OFF (bug repellent). They gave us Pizza the one night. We were like WTF.... who has hot pizza in the woods? We accepted and it was scarfed down in minutes.

- I may be old but as Ms Roger reminds me, I look much younger than all of my classmates and contemporaries and I fuck like I'm 18.
And you can make tents into Dutch Ovens. You can make pizza in the large Dutch oven pots

I figured you were less than 40.
In my mind only. My oldest is 26 and I was in my 20's when she was born. Closer to General Grant by a good ways.
