Speaking of coolers. Got this today. I have no plans to use the jug. Dont think I could ever get it clean enough. But I'll use the cooler if it's worth a shit. Date stamp shows February 1979.

Doing a first burn right now. See how it makes out. Might need to lose the rubber feet or space them down further or add some speed holes in the legs or a combo of the options. If all goes good Ill prob grab a burner, grill top, & set it up for propane when we have burn bans. Few pints deep so the cut isn't strait but Ive shed no blood sweat or tears yet.

So putting the RTT on the 4Runner has been the biggest issue since we bought the RTT. In my late night internet searches I happened to find where someone had started using their drywall lift for putting the RTT on their SUV. Northern Tool had their basic lift on sale for $130 so I figured it was worth a shot - it made sense and would make it where I can put the lift on without having to call in a favor with someone.

Today my sammich maker and I put the RTT on the 4Runner in about 15 minutes with the drywall lift. It was almost an easy experience! Taking it off will be a little more work but not much since I can lift it and slide it onto the lift as well. Plus the drywall lift breaks down and folds up for pretty easy storage. My sammich maker is happy and that makes my life much better.

I used the hand truck to bring it to beside the 4Runner. Then we put it onto the saw horses so we could re position our hands before lifting it up onto the drywall lift. Then the lift did the rest of the work.

Pretty nifty. I always wanted a cap but never wanted to have to call over 3 friends every time I took it off or put it on.

That issue has been one reason that stopped some quick trips just because it took so much work to put the tent on top and I always had to call in a favor. Those days are done! It is easier with two people but I could put it on/ off by myself with a few changes. Biggest thing is I am going to get a pool noodle to put along the main body of the lift to protect my 4Runner from contact.

Well I upgraded my air compressor finally. I have tried a couple different smaller compressors over the years and none of them held up. Now I wish I had just done it right from the start.

It is supposed to be rated for 35" up to 40" tires and push 5 gallons a minute with a max of 190 psi. The only issue is the little non standard connectors. I will replace those at some point.

When I decommissioned by pancake compressor Friday night I took off all the fittings including the quick disconnect. If you can figure out the threads for the compressor and they match mine - Ill send it to you via smartpost if it makes sense fiscally. Prob cost more to ship you a free item then buy from Amazon though lol

I was lazy and cut the airline so thats fubar, but the tip may still be reusable.?.

Caps aren't that bad. Me and my dad could remove and install mine by ourselves. But putting a RTT on the top of a 4Runner would probably be a bit much for two people.

I just remember the Bronco and K5 fiberglass caps needing 4 hands on deck. I've actually never helped install one of the new caps for a small pick up truck.

Cool aid drunk after a year of looking around......

Initial quality is great and I'm pretty picky. They had them in a cardboard box, in a plastic bag, with a layer of foam, a layer of bubble wrap, and a layer of shrink wrap on the lid. Sides just had the bag and outside box. Didn't have a ton of time to inspect them upon arrival but this weekend Ill get them out in the sun and take a real good look while I wash them down.

Already digging the shelves/cutting trays/dividers and I haven't used them yet ~ Their design and engineering is the #1 reason I choose them over all the others. Now if I have the trays out and someone is still dense enough to put their stuff on my cooler ~ I'm clearing it onto the ground ~ That sh*t drives me CRAZY! Everyone w/o coolers always decides yours is their table to put stuff or their seat to sit on. Saying 'excuse me' to get into your own cooler makes me wanna........ :devil-flip: :machinegun::sniper::flaming::bash::2guns:

Not as nice as @Oswego coolers, but I just picked up a new Kodi 75 for $200 from the neighbor, neighbor friend.

^Nice cooler.

I may be able to get yeti knock off that H-E-B sales(local grocery stores here in Texas), KODI cooler for like 40% off from a neighbor friend of a friend(lol sounds like a drug deal) , who works at H-E-B, I think they may be made in China, but you can’t beat the price, I plan on checking them out before I commit to the generous offer.

Wiped it down with disinfecting wipes, lol
