You and I have prob double to triple the cost into our Tacomas than a imported cherry 1991 70 series diesel cost. Land Cruisers Direct - Home

I just like the short wheelbase. 70's look to be the cheapest series I can find. I'd prefer to find a nice BJ40 from South America.

Of course I'm just window shopping, but oh how I would love to pull the trigger on one.

There's a guy a couple hours from me that imports them and sells them. Me and my dad went to his house and saw some of his current projects. My dad wanted him to swap a diese in an FJ80 but the guy will only swap 40s and 60s. The 70s he was selling at the time were clean titled and registered and they were in the $17-21k range.

You are soooo right. We do have a number of creature comforts that the 70s wouldn't have but would do a lot of things differently in hind sight.
