That does suck about the head gasket. So what is the damage gonna cost?

It costs a nice 2002 Corolla. Plus 4 fingers. Both ring fingers and thumbs are gone. Rockin shockers for hands all day every day.

It's been a while. How's everyone doing!?

Don't have the truck any longer. Bought a 4Runner in September. '14 Trail Premium w/ KDSS

King 2.5's in front
Camburg ball joint UCA's
Toytec 2" Superflex rear springs
Toytec BOSS rear shocks
Nitto Ridge Grappler 285/70/17
Bla Bla Bla, just the essentials on this build.

It was time. 11 great years of ownership that took me to places I still think about regularly. This 4Runner is so much more refined than the Tacoma was and I lost nearly nothing in the manor of capability. Maybe even gained a little ...?...

The one thing that bothers me is the KDSS lean now that the vehicle is lifted. There was an idea floating around that we could machine some spacers for the "fixed" length sway bar end links to help. Maybe some thoughts from TacoXpo??

Link --> This guy has the right idea. Scroll down to see pic of the sway bar spacer mentioned.

I was sold when I test drove a 2015 TRD Pro while I was visiting my family a while back. I didn't end up buying that one, (my mother did and she wasn't even in the market for a new vehicle). With a small utility trailer this can do everything the truck did for me. The 5th Gen 4Runner checks off many of the wants and needs of previous Tacoma owners.

Am I the only one who can only see one picture of the new 4Runner? I only see the first one and the rest are "forbidden".

Instead of a spacer cut the link in half. Then put a larger sleeve over it to lengthen as needed and either weld it in place or drill through both pieces and bolt into place.

Damn. maybe my work computer doesn't want to cooperate with linking the pics? I can see them all.

I had thought about sleeving the current links but then if the lean was not corrected I would be out a set of probably costly links. I'm undecided if this solution will even work the way we are thinking. I believe in some cases the kdss system will make the vehicle lean no matter what due to one side being stationary and the other variable.

Not sure why they were not displaying; but they are now.

As for a 4Runner - the dry cargo area sold me. Although I still have my old Tacoma so I really did not give up anything. My sammich maker is driving the Taco now.

Welcome to the 4runner club.

How are those tires? I'm in the market for some and still a little undecided.

Thanks for getting the pics straight.

The ridge grapplers are great. I did find a nail in one last night though. Shit happens, glad I got the warranty from discount tire.
