Yeah, but they're not hardened steel or anything. They should sheer off when you put that much force on them

It ain't the muscle that's a problem. I'm busting sockets over here
How about a better socket, had a very similar issue when changing my timing belt. Robbie brought over a nice 6 point socket and I was able to lean on it and it snapped loose.

get a new drill bit while you are there... I'm telling ya.. you'd be done by now if you would just drill it out.

Bought a 20mm - 3/4" drive impact socket. Tomorrow I'll see what a 5' cheater pipe does for me
