I was curious about that one. It has a few faces I have liked in the past so I will give it a few episodes just on that alone.

That's exactly what I'm doing. Figured with that cast it should be good. IMO it's so so.... I was expecting it to be darker.

That was actually from Sons of Anarchy. I was happy to hear he was going to be on the show. I was laughing out of my mind when saw his role!

Anyone seen Stranger Things on Netflix? God I miss being a kid in the 80's, riding my bike around and my parents not caring where I was as long as I wasn't home bothering them. It must suck not being able to roam free now.

Haven't seen it but I recall riding my BMX bike 20+ miles to other towns through the country with about 2 bucks in my pocket and not coming back until dark back in the early 80's. Hmmm... maybe my parents wanted me gone?

Yeah, I caught the same feel from it. 1983 was a less scary place in the homeland. We only worried about being nuked :)

No they just weren't pusified like today's parents have been brainwashed to be by the media. I did the same when I was young. These days our parents would be jailed for neglect. "If" I even see a youth outside today 99% of the time they are walking with their phone literally in front of their face or on some razor scooter....neither of which are efficient modes of transportation. I was on a 800 acre fresh water lake yesterday and I saw one kid out with his dad. Pretty freaking sad if you ask me. I guess most of my generation raises their kids via TV screen and the comfort of a climate controlled room.

My Dad even jokes that I survived his multiple attempts to thin down the grocery budget. Dirt bikes, bicycle rides on back roads alone, and letting me explore 800 acres during the day with a 22 rifle and I always came home. After seeing some of the kids today; there are some who are not trapped inside but they are a rarity. I still laugh at the high school kids talking how tough they are playing football but cannot throw a single bail of hay.

Stranger Things on Netflix is good.. reminds me of a Goonies combined with X-Files... maybe a hint of Sandlot spilled in for measure. I'm on episode 5 or 6 and I'm enjoying it.

Finished it last night. Hints of Goonies, Stand By Me, ET, Firestarter, even Little Shop of Horrors.... good series, I definitely enjoyed it!

Watched two episodes of "Homestead Rescue" on Discovery last night. It's meh. Would be much better if they didn't dumb it down for the masses. Definitely some "produced" content as with any "reality" show.

Yeah, Marty and his family are good people. But damn some of the people they help are just dumb and have no business living off the grid.

I was watching "Adam ruins everything" last night and the whole episode was about Hollywood and how fake everything is.... including the outdoors shows. I always knew they were scripted but the show on the people from Pennsylvania was a total joke. Either that was 100% produced or that family was 100% potato. Who the heck would try to move a family of 4 into an un-insulated shed that sits on cracked wooden beams.
