Hall of Shame

ECGS comes through.. had to talk to Chase though. There was some odd things about my 3rd member.

1: Not stamped, normally they stamp theirs, this one wasn't. He said it does happen though when it gets really busy.
2: Used a US Gear V6 gearset, not Nitro! He said maybe someone shoved a US Gearset in the Nitro box??
3: The non-Toyota bolt on the locker slider inspection plate. I did that.. lost one during reassembly and had to use a normal metric bolt from Lowes.

Anyhow, I spoke with him and they are issuing a credit.

Well the one good thing is that they covered it!!! I'm glad for you brother!!!

At least it wasn't "Your truck is different" or "Every truck is different and because you used a Lowes bolt and not a Homo Depot one..."

Congrats! Now for 3.75 years of warranty!!! :D

Yeah I'm happy.. I think he thought I was one of those douchebags who was screwing him over recently. Not mentioning names but you know who I'm referring to. Anyhow, once we talked I think he felt more comfortable and trusting... which is good because I wasn't trying to screw anyone. So all in all, it took a little longer to be resolved, but its done and all is well. Move this post to Hall of Fame. :)

I had a buddy email me if I knew anything about a "wabbit shop" so I looked up the wabbit to see if he had any new complaints against him. Yeah; he is still at it. I even found one person complaining that he charged the guy 30% restocking fee for the wrong parts that were drop shipped from Trail Gear. This is almost unreal; needless to say I didn't recommend the shop to my buddy.

My One Minute Review of All Pro APEX Bumper.

Junk. This shows you what happens when you don't have an appropriate winch mounting. This AP fan will have to pay his own way to replace the parts on the broken WARN winch. Sad thing is that I think he will mount the winch back on the same bumper once the winch is repaired. :(

That is pretty ironic that they would put a Warn winch on an All Poo bumper. I would think a Harbor Freight Badlands winch would make more sense on an AP bumper.

Hey dont be giving HF Badlands winch a bad name by putting it in the same category as All Poo. Maybe All Poo should design their own winch to match the awesomeness of the APEX shit they make. You know, something overpriced, made in China with inferior materials, designed to look good at the mall but leave you stranded on the trail. Pretty sure that is their marketing strategy.

^^^ True Story ^^^ Their formal Mission Statement: To rape and pillage the moms of the Honda Tuner crowd. Make it look like the real deal at the lowest of costs. Parlay Jon B's 'fame' of rock crawling by getting other wannabes to follow and spend as much money as they can.

I know of at least one bankruptcy by a young guy was directly attributable to such things.

Icon is Total Crap! And we all knew that, with the amount of failures, ha ha... I just had to reinforce how inferior of a product they make and prove they continue to suck.

Do not buy>> Performance Suspension Systems, Coil-Over Shocks, Uniball Upper Control Arms, and Lift Kits for Trucks and Suv\'s

I had a lift kit sitting in the shop basically since I bought my F-150 back 2015.

Installed this new lift kit this past Spring, I should have discounted it and sold it off and purchased a better setup.

Anyways, less than 6k miles, a rear shock has failed, maybe 3 days on the CO trails, and maybe 40 to 50 miles of barely maintained forest service roads.

Pretty freaking sad when the cross check is still there from install because they are so new yet the shock has blown it's wad. My 5100's lasted longer.

BTW - did we get rid of the vendor hall of fame or am I just making that thread up in my head? I was looking for it the other day and couldn't find it. Now I forget what vendor went above and beyond lol

Yep, this has been me the past 6 months debating selling my front coilovers, secondary shocks, shock towers and buying just buying King coilovers. It's time to have my front coilovers serviced and my springs replaced.

I just might know a guy who has a set of King 2.0 with 700# springs in normal travel length. Never leaked on me and plenty of surface rust at this point but under 50k on them. I'd recommend a full overhaul though. Purchased at DSMS.

The bottom heims are fubar and to date that's the only consistent issues I see Toyota owners having when you mix Toyotas horrible lower shock bolts and Kings heims. Pretty sure I got all the new parts to fix them up but lost motivation as is my life story lol

Ha thanks. I'll be getting the King 2.5's if I decide to upgrade.
