On a more somber note, I am looking to get a few Detroits and if I feel real swanky maybe two selectable (ouch!) for my new sweet heart. My plans are to get a ratio that will give me a top speed higher than about 40!!! 
So my current thinking is out with the 5:71s and in with some fresh 5:29s. Any thoughts?

5.29's will still go stupid low, especially with that crawl box... not to mention the gears a little thicker than the 5.71's. I'd say 5.29's with Detroits would be a very swanky combo.

But the t-case doesn't move as much as the rear end. I just don't want it to be open to the elements for one thing, and don't want it shorting out against anything. But its good to know its the same plug as the t-case. Drew is hooking me up so I think I'll just install the old one and leave it disconnected, then swap it out later.

Or if it happens to anyone else on the trail or otherwise, swap with one of the T-case ones and get back rolling!!!

I've got to check into final ratios - the idea of popping in that 5 speed is appealing for getting to the trail when I don't want to tow this pig!

Just got off the phone with Chase - we had a long conversation about a couple of things. When he answered the phone he sounded like crap. I told him he sounded beat! He said that he has been SWAMPED! (People spending their tax returns). Looks like I'm going to be ECGS powered in the P/U too. Hope to order tomorrow.

That truly SUCKS!!!! (although I am remain confident that he will honor his warranty!)
It took him about 2 weeks to get back with me on the Pig after asking for a quote on Detroits... Gave me a quote for Grizzlies - he was convinced that I should give them a try. He may be right, but with the 15% off of the order with TG and not having to send in my old ones, I was compelled to take the risk of not having a 5 year warranty... he may have made an exception but IIRC above 35's aren't covered anyway.

ECGS comes through.. had to talk to Chase though. There was some odd things about my 3rd member.
1: Not stamped, normally they stamp theirs, this one wasn't. He said it does happen though when it gets really busy.
2: Used a US Gear V6 gearset, not Nitro! He said maybe someone shoved a US Gearset in the Nitro box??
3: The non-Toyota bolt on the locker slider inspection plate. I did that.. lost one during reassembly and had to use a normal metric bolt from Lowes.
Anyhow, I spoke with him and they are issuing a credit.
