The problem is drunk Sean could not get into it if it locks. He couldn't even get out of tent drunk.

Tis merely a runor.

Those front recovery points are a good idea, but they failed on real world application of it IMHO. Those things will do far more to get you stuck that get you unstuck. Reminds me of the old Offroad hooks up front that would dig into ledges or trees and get you stuck.

I wouldn't buy any of it, but it's just nice to see ARB offering many more products for US Toyotas so I'm pretty stoked overall.

First thing that came to my mind was watching Chris' slider kick outs catch on the ledges on Twister last Jambo. They look(ed) good but caused him some serious issues on that ledge.

Some people love them. I also am not a kick out fan. I will place my tires where I want them ~ No need for my sliders to help do so. Ive seen them hang people up more than I have seen a need for them (all based on my local terrain and my limited trail experience). I'm sure they have a valid application/need - I just don't meet those on a truck thats yard art lol

I have some of the tightest sliders on the market (Shrock) and I have the rear doors to prove it! lol I would like just a tube with kickout - that would have saved both doors.... ... I think. :)

Yep.. I have Shrocks as well and I with I bought the kickout. My mindset was exactly as Boyds (I'll pick my line) but that kickout would be nice.

And when it's wet and slimy, 'Picking my line is a pipe dream.' Just like a pipe on the slider! lol

Rich and I mounted mine as high as possible. In hindsight I would of smashed the pinch weld up prior to installation because I had to do it later when it contacted the sliders during offroad flex. Much easier to do it first.

Not sure if you guys remember but I had a Beemer smash into me a few years ago in the D side slider. Both lanes turned left but guy on the inside decided to drive strait......strait into me. Beemer hood, grill, front pass fender, pass door, a pillar, all smashed. My sliders didn't even dent and he pushed my truck over at least 1-2'. Worst damage was a little black mark where his mirror got ripped off by my rear fender well. I let him go and never reported it....then everyone scared me into thinking he would report a hit and run on me. Luckily I never heard a thing.

If people could only see the dynamics of all the components in the dynamic states. Just had a 20 minute conversation with a military 'specifier' about this topic.

Yeah I love my CBI kickouts since they barely stick out past the tire. They've saved me more than they've hindered me. They also double as a step to get into the bed the 99.8% of times I'm not on trails. :) Here's an old pic of them.
