Tried to insert your dick joke; could not find it.

As for glass; I am a Leopold fan through and through. I have a VXIII on my 700.

I've been looking at Leopold.. very nice!

I want to stay in the $400 price range. I'll look into the Nikon (which I had overlooked) and into the VX3's. I was looking at some other Leopolds but they where much more $$. Amazing how much those things can cost.

In my experience the difference between scopes is low light transmission. My father-in-law has a BSA that is huge and great in full sun. Comparing our scopes in low/no light and you can see the Leopold difference. If you plan to punch paper <600 yds you can use a cheaper scope. If you plan on low/no light or >600 yds I would gets good scope.

I am looking at putting a Konus on one of my 300 Blackout . At the price point they are a lot of scope for under $400.

You should have bought one of ziess scopes they had them most of them 50% off, I posted a link here a few months back.
Very nice scopes and it was a one hell of a deal. My brother bought many and resold them and made a couple hundred off each one.

Took my little one out shooting today for the first time. We used her little pink Cricket .22 and I ran CCI Subsonics through it. Man it was quiet! But she had a good time. The gun is still a touch too big for her, the stock is just a bit too long and she has to use two fingers to pull the trigger. But her first shot was about 3" up and an inch to the right of center! Not bad. We ran about 30 rounds through it. Good times. Upside was that I picked up another 600 rnds of 22 on the way. 100 rnds of 22 short (1200 fps.. not really a short!) and another 500 rnds of the cci subsonic rnds. Which are about as loud as a bull whip.
