Here's my pair (crappy pic):
Windham AR-10 (SRC-308) and Frankenstein A-15 Pistol (New frontier Lower)
Both have 4lb Single Stage Timney Trigger and Hogue Grips (came from factory on Windham)
I still need to but a free floating tube on the AR-10

37 days later.. got that upper. Radical firearms. .seems like a quality product, especially for the price. They also make polymer pop up sights, so got two sets, nice and beefy. Still got a few parts in the mail to complete the lower. 16" ar for comparison

Is that little Ti multi-tool just sitting on the lower or is it part of it?

Yep. Its like a night force scope. They are badass scopes though

Great glass is worth every penny IMO. I have shot through cheap scopes and I have shot through great high end scopes. When you get used to looking through Mark IVs all the time it is hard to shoot with anything less. My current Leupold VX-III is not bad; but it is not as great as a good Mark IV.

Nikon Monarch does the trick for me. Granted they're not all tacticool with fancy light up reticles and all that jazz but for a hunting scope, you can't beat them IMO. They're on all of my hunting rifles and will continue to be put on any future rifles.

I do like that nice hue they have on nikon glass, almost a green/blue. They do have nice glass, but if money was no object, I'd go leapold* on the low end, shmidt and bender on the high end...i got bushnell elite scopes.. they are ok..

Tommy want wingy..
I really want a 50 but am torn between that and an Ar 10 ish rifle. I like the fact I can have 2 uppers for a 223/50 but love the 308 platform.

Your talking about a 50 cal upper for an ar lower?not the route I would go down. Now armalite ar50.. that's a good way to get into a 50.

I know a lot of people who swear by Leupold but I just don't see it. Granted I haven't spent a ton of time behind one but the times I have shot through a Leupold I haven't been impressed enough to spend the extra over a Monarch. They're good glass but I just can't justify the price difference. I guess if my Nikons ever let me down is try them out. But I don't see that happening.

IMO I have always noticed the biggest difference between scopes at low light/no light hours. I have spent a lot of time behind scopes and all of them will do the job in the middle of the day. The real performers are worth the money when you cannot see where you are looking until you look with your scope.

Great glass also.

I've definitely thought about bullpup .50BMG before. But that is a rather large explosive charge to be leaning your cheek up against during detonation.

bingo.. no thanks. It looks badass... until it takes your face off.

Thinking about redoing a few things on my AR. Anyone interested in an Aimpoint CompC3 or 12.5" YHM FF Quadrail? Thinking $350 for the optic and $100 for the rail.

Also have Magpul MOE Stock, pistol grip, and VFG in FDE if anyone is interested. Think I'm going to do black this time around.
