I have a buddy that builds them up from barrel blanks. After I get a few needed parts I am usually into an upper for around $140.

That said - the speciality parts of the 458 are what are holding me back due to the cost of them.

Jason, you need to do a short barrel + suppressor that is all covered in an upper rail. That way you can throw it around without worrying about messing up your suppressor.

How do you take advantage of a short barrel to lower your overall length with a supressor without having to file a tax stamp for SBR?

Simple, just blind pin a nonsensical muzzle device to the end of your barrel,

I still need to put some flat black paint on it. The anodizing changed color with the heat from the TIG welding.

10.5" barrel with 6" or rail welded to my suppressor adapter then blind binned to the barrel

If anyone is interested, I have a design in mind for someone using a factory made suppressor that mounts with standard threading.
