Oh and did I mention that 2014 was a year that 59 pages of handguns were deemed illegal to sell in Morning Glory? I can't even pick up a Mark III.
2 friends of mine carry that exact pistol except one has the crimson trace laser. They both have talked how nice it is and that it easier than they thought to conceal it.Thinking I want a .45 for inside my waistband for when I go to the more dangerous areas for my work. I can get a long deal on a Kimber ULTRA CDP II. Anyone carry one of these?

Thanks. I have heard the same. Sadly, lasers are illegal here for a concealed deal.2 friends of mine carry that exact pistol except one has the crimson trace laser. They both have talked how nice it is and that it easier than they thought to conceal it.
What holster were you using? You make a good point and saving some cash at this point is a good deal and plus, I am very familiar with Springfield XD but XDs are illegal in this hell hole (My bed/camping pistol is a XD .40 tactical). - A bit bulky for a CCW. I guess I should check out some polymer guns. ThanksKimber makes a nice firearm; but for the kind of concealed carry you are talking about I would not carry a metal firearm that close to my body. I carried my Sig 220 like that for a while and found the maintenance was much higher than expected to keep the gun clean. My Springfield does just fine. You can pick up a Springfield XDs in 45 ACP for less than half the cost of that 1911.
The reason it's illegal is that it has no mag disconnect safety. But in reality, all the regs here are less to do with safety and everything to do with money and keeping guns hard to acquire. Is the XDs illegal? It is a single stack magazine so it is limited to 6 rounds. I was using a Galco King Tuck (crossbreed knockoff) and really liked the holster. It was in the waistband and carried great.
I love and own move than a few 1911s; but I now carry a Springfield for my daily piece.

Thanks - just saw this. Earlier today I picked this up. I am very comfortable with my XD. It feels so natural since I've had many years with my other XD.I did want a .45 but my state insisted I get a .40.
