Anyone know how easy or difficult is it to charge a Walter P22 / Ruger SR22 / Sig Sauer P250? I need to get down to the gun store and see for myself but I am thinking that my mother could probably lock the slide back no problem right?
The only gun worth a damn out of the 3 you posted is the Walther P22. The other two have a lot of feeding issues. Rob, you'll also need to run a ton of ammo through it first. It seems that those little .22 pistols and AR .22 rifles need to be shot alot to be "broken in".

and they do not like subsonic ammo. LOL I was trying to make the outing more enjoyable for the little one but it would not cycle subsonics.. as expected right? But aside from that I have never had an issue. I would like to get a trigger job for it though. I am planning on buying the little one her own P22 wihout the target barrel for her 7th birthday (in a couple weeks).

My wife has a sub compact P250. It's pretty damn easy to charge and shoots pretty nice. The LCR seems like a good choice for a beginner.

Jjst a thought... Why not get her an LCR in 22LR? That way when she wants to/is ready to move up, she can get an LCR in 38spl and already be familiar with the platform? Nothing better than practicing with the gun you'll be protecting yourself with.

Looking back this really might be a good option. I like it thanks. I'll have to see if I can find one local that I can put my hands on before Christmas.

I have read a bunch of reviews and came across all of them having some feeding issues at first, At least 22lr is cheap and she will need the practice anyway.

I was really hoping that someone would have something positive to say about the SR22, it has been on my list for awhile now (don't question my motives lol )

Your mom should be able to charge this bitch with no problem. :)
:roflmao:That rear sight is hilarious. And you spent $1000 on an aimpoint, why do you need backup iron sights? It's not like that Aimpoint is going to fail...

Yeah most .22s don't cycle subsonic. It's the tradeoff for no noise. :)

I've never shot an SR22 but I've shot an SR40 and it was terrible. So I'm just assuming the entire SR series is garbage.

Just a put few M18A1's around the permitter and call it good, I see the light, I see the lite, fire in the hole. lol
I had a crazy English teacher who had a crazy Uncle. His Uncle ran a weed farm and was paranoid about the ATF. He put mines all around his property and eventually forgot about one and stepped on it. He blew his leg off and bled out. The EOD was busy at his property for awhile clearing all the bombslol

And that crazy English teacher just recently died this year. He got struck by lighting on a mountain on a cloudless day...true story.
