Pheww!!! I feel SO MUCH better!!! I just turned in all of my guns.

Monday I will drop off all my ammo at a HAZMAT collection. Then I will feel clean again.

I first thought maybe that city should just buy safes for people but this is much better.

I will take my gift cards and get 5 gallon tubs of ice cream.

SOOOO dumb. I have never felt unsafe with guns in the house after my son was born. I would even be okay with leaving the safe door wide open and know he would not do anything he was not supposed to. Its all about teaching them the right things.

No doubt. When I was growing up we grew up with loaded guns all the time. When did we stop teaching respect? Maybe I wasn't exposed to the level of chaos that exists in some homes.

I got my first gun before I was a teen. Parents gave it to me. I was in charge of storage, cleaning, and everything involved with proper gun safety for it. Almost 3 decades later and that little bolt action Marlin 22LR is still my favorite gun.

Ordered another case of 6.5 Creedmoor 129gr Hornady Superformance ammo.
Took @thekidcatcher to the shooting range this past weekend. We helped him qualify for 300 yards on his first attempt which is pretty impressive! (you have to have 5 shots hit in a 5" circle at 300 yards to be able to shoot at the 400-600 yard targets). I made my second longest shot at 600 yards (which is the longest shot made by my rifle) which was awesome! We were making constant repeatable hits at 600 yards easy. So much fun.
I believe this is a 3" plate at 600 yards.

Ruger RPR. My only complaints with the Ruger is that it's a heavy bitch, ships with a keymod rail and the bolt needs to be smoother. But other than that, it's an out of the box shooter.

This is currently my dream rifle. 6 pounds with a scope and suppressor! Supposed to be 1/2" MOA out of the box. It's built by the same guy that started Advanced Armament suppressors.

Yeah this guy started Advanced Armament at 19 years old (co-invented the 300 Blackout cartridge) and sold that company to Remington/Freedom Group years later. He then went on to work for Sig Sauer and got their tactical/suppressor line going before he got bored with them and left. Now he started Q as something fun to do.

Installed a new Magpul Mil-spec buffer tube, QD backplate mount and mil spec Magpul STR (I love the STR's cheekweld so that's how I justify the extra weight) on my AR last night (ignore the marks on the buffer tube, those wiped off later). I put on a new SilencerCo Omega muzzle break on my 16" upper.

Also pulled out the buffer retaining pin since my JP Enterprises Silent Capture Spring doesn't require it and it was causing bolt slam issues.
