My IWB holster arrived. It is so comfortable, even when sitting. No problem with a seatbelt in a car either. I'm surprised with how comfy it is, and it makes my too-big pants fit better! Win win! I have since moved the clips to allow the gun to ride as low as possible on my belt and I found that to be the most comfortable for me.

Frack me..
If you need any help putting an AR together or servicing them, give me a hollar. I have all the tools needed for AR's and most tools needed for pistols, rifles & shotguns.

Thanks man, I r ally apprciat it. I just ordered all the lower parts, looks pretty easy. Now I am shopping uppers.. probably going to order the upper already built. What do you recommend for the budget shopper in regards to the BCG. I want to spend the money on the barrel mostly..

Ordered a box of Black Hills, Hornady Black and Barnes VOR-TX 300 Blackout. Going to see which my barrel likes best. Had another primer failure with the Remington 300 BO which cost me a hog this past weekend. Primer is clearly punched in but failed to fire.

Well that doesn’t give me warm and fuzzies. I was just reading about the 300 BO, thought it might be better for hunting.

Wish I could where something like that. I am still shopping for the ideal beer gut holster... :)

I recommend a built upper for the first one at least. After that you will have an idea of how it is supposed to work and feel.

As for hunting with the 300 BO; it is a popular round for deer and hog hunting. The majority of those shots being at or under 100 yrs. I would feel confident using good ammo with a well placed shot out to 200 yds on a deer. Past that I would be careful getting an ethical kill.

Yeah, that is what I hear. Appreciate it. Sounds there is some bad ammo out there though.

They have changed their design since I bought mine about 18 months ago.

This is the Shape Shift 4.0 modular system. I only have the IWB option though. Don’t really have a need to carry any other method right now, but it’s nice to be able to switch it up with the same holster body

I'm actually the opposite lol get a built lower. That way you can build your upper with a high quality barrel & adjustable gas block.

@SamSter0077 most bcg are good to go. I would worry about that part honestly. But do spend your money on a great barrel. I'd recommend a Rainier arms 300 BO barrel. I've shot their 8" barrel and had a badass group freestanding.

The four things you NEED to speed money on are as follows:
1. Great trigger.
2. Great barrel. Needs to be at least $250+ plus
3. JP Enterprises silent capture spring
4. Adjustable gas block (either JP Enterprises or SLR adjustable gas block).

Yeah that too. But if you don't enjoy the recoil impulse then you'll never shoot the gun which means you won't need high quality optics. Sounds stupid but it's true...

Man I'm just going blind... mom warned me I guess. But last time I was shooting I was using my red dot and I probably need to wear my glasses.

Hell of a start point but hard for occasional use. I do agree a good trigger and barrel is worth the money to make the overall rifle a platform that will be used more.
