So who here files as a trust and who files as an individual? If a trust, did you draw it up yourself or have an attorney do it? I'm weighing the pros and cons of each. I'm going to be filing for two stamps soon. Trying to decide which route I wanna take .

As it was explained to me a few weeks ago before I was filing another stamp; all Trusts now must do the following:

1. Draw up, sign, and have notary stamp of the Trust paperwork
2. Each member of the Trust must submit 2 passport pictures and fingerprints to the ATF with each submitted stamp
3. Submit documentation of stamp to local law authority once approved

The best place to do this now is SilencerCo.

Change trust to only the owner, notary, steps 2 owner only, then 3, after approved change the Trust and add your trustees back on.

Frack me..
@SamSter0077 Correct on all accounts lol I have all the AR tools you'll need to put one together.

That’s awesome. Thanks. I have looked and I narrowed it down quite a bit. I am going to buy a complete upper from aero precision. .223 wylde 18”

I like the odin works a lot 18” 223 wylde dmr with adjustable gas block, but the aero just seems like a hell of a deal. And at my level, probably the right way t9 go right now.

If anyone needs a decent trigger for their AR, a local place is having a sale on CMC curved single stage 3.5-4 lb triggers. $114 shipped.

@SamSter0077

I already ordered a lower parts kit with polished trigger.. not sure what to expect, but it’s pretty easy to upgr@de later. My barrell, bcg, and scope were my priorities at this time. No rush.. trying my best to take my time. Probably having something ready to shoot by April.

My cousin and step dad formed a trust. I'm listed as the beneficiary and will be added at some point. Not sure how they did it, but it didn't seem too difficult

I'm only getting one silencer. But converting my lower to SBR because I don't want to go any longer than the 14.7" barrel I already have (Troy brake is pinned/welded to make it over 16" currently) .

Oh that's right. Me too. I got my head pretty hard in that boating incident. My Sammy maker told me she put two tube socks on my baseball bat and she used ankle socks on her 9 iron.

Only thing I don't like about SBR's is the fact that you can't cross state lines with them... So that's why I have two lowers now, I plan to SBR one and keep the other standard.
I kinda like the pistol AR's because you can conceal them in a backpack and it's perfectly legal...

Edit: Just thinking out loud Blake, not really commenting on the fact that you want to SBR your rifle.

I don't really plan to cross state lines with it. I have plenty of other non-NFA guns I can take it off state if I need to. But it's my understanding that you can take it across state lines of you file a Form 20 (same as taking a suppressor out of state). It has to be done a bit in advance but like I said, if I'm going out of state and need to take a firearm, and don't have time to file a Form 20, I'll just take a different gun .

You can cross state lines; you just have to have a traveling form filled out and approved.

Yeah - it is extra crap to do.

Do a lot of forms get approved? I think I remember reading that they don't...

Ordered a competition lifter gate for my Versamax shotgun. Tired of losing thumbnails to the forked lifter...I reload properly/the correct way but if your thumb is even a tiny bit off, the fork grabs your fingernail and tears it off. There's no room for error lol

New lifter:

Old lifter is on top (ignore the bottom one, that's not the one I got). You can see the forks on the front.

Yeah; that looks like a lifter that was designed by somebody that wanted to get back at someone.

So I was checking my email last night and ended up ordering a 100 rd drum for my AR. I figure the SBR likes the weight of them and the binary trigger will make reloading a common thing. This way the SBR will stand up on its own and the trigger will not run empty all the time.
