Thinking either the 1911 for me or getting the 38 spl and giving it to the girlfriend for Christmas

Pretty darn cool!

I'd have to go with the rifle only because I don't have one that's over .22 and already have a couple similar pistols in similar calibers.

Unless engaged and ready to get married I'd keep the gun for yourself.

Hate to say it but the Sig 320 feels overly plastic coming from Sig. I would go for the 1911 first and the 458 SOCOM 2nd. Mainly because 458 SOCOM ammo almost requires me to give up drinking for a month to buy ammo.

I went with the Colt. I've been wanting another 1911 but I dont think that's the one I want. I'm pretty dead set on getting another Springfield. The P320 is somewhere between my XDS and full size XD I already have and not really sure what I would use it for. The 458 is worth the most but it doesnt really do anything my 6.8 wont do. It would be fun to hammer some hogs with but I'd just end up trading it off in a few months. I dont have a wheel gun yet and I want something for Taylor to have when I'm working nights and shes home alone. My fullsize XD is a bit too large for her to handle and the XDS is not her cup of tea being a 45acp in a 3" barrel. Worst case, she'll hate the Colt and I can trade it on a 1911 later.

Can't go wrong with a revolver for home use. I got my moms she bought 40+ years ago for home defense and it's still my favorite pistol. I shoot better with it than my XD and it would be the first gun I grab should I hear a bump in the night.

+1 hard to go wrong with a good wheel gun for basic defense needs. They are simple to operate and get the job done.

Friends don't let friends buy Radical firearms stuff. Hell their .223 stuff fails all the time, I can only imagine how long their .458 stuff would last...

Radian Weapons finally came out with a small suppressor friendly charging handle. Been asking them when they'd release one, well as soon as I got the email I bought one for my AR pistol build. This will help out quite a bit when it's in my backpack or going through brush because it won't stab me in the chest or back as bad.

Finally got the shorter guy in. This will live on my shorty uppers that I plan to cart around in a backpack or in the truck.
You can see the new one on top of my old bigger charging handle.

Took a pistol class this past weekend at Tiger Valley in Mart TX. I highly recommend them, it's a great place to shoot with a great instructor.
Ended up shooting around ~2,200 rounds of 9mm ammo in two days. Came home with some great drills to practice on my own.

Yeah I think they do that on this tower as well. The instructor is one of the OG SWAT officers and he trains a ton of SWAT teams every year.

Well this case will be used for future cases... BUT I bet there's someone at the ATF writing that 13.5" "Opinion" letter for release right now sadly...

Hopefully this case serves as a warning beacon to other DAs to not jump in bed with the ATF so quickly next time. But I agree that they are probably working on that illegal-law letter right now. Every other department of the government has to operate within the letter of the laws as stated; but the ATF gets to write their own version and it stands as law until someone finally gets it through the court system. That is a bunch of crap.
