Finally got a chance to go to the local range now that the weather is starting to break here. Got to put a few rounds in, shot about 100 clay, and plinked a few targets with my buddy's 22lr. I think he convinced me to finally get a new plinker to upgrade from my bolt action my dad gave me 20+ years ago lol

How do you like that SR9?

it's got a nice feel to it, noticeably lighter than my 226. It's got a funky little tab that pops up to let you know when you have a bullet in the chamber which I didn't find of much use. The adjustable site on the front is easy to adjust for wind. Overall for the price I'd recommend it. I'm going to pick up an SR22 this month I think just so it's cheaper to shoot at the range. Looked up the 22lr conversion kit for my 226 and it's discontinued plus if I did find one it was almost at the cost of a new SR22 lol

Holsters shipped today. And I ordered a +2 mag extension for my third mag that has a stupid +0 pinky extension on it. If I like this extension I'll get another and have two 12 round mags and leave one as a 10 round for easier conceal.

I love this range bag. If anyone is looking for one, I highly recommend it. It's the biggest size Osage River Tactical offers. Plenty of room for two people worth of hearing protection, eye protection, targets, tools, ammo, and can even fit cased hand guns. It has a pocket on each side with a handgun pocket as well as spots for 7 mags with each one.

Good timing. I am going to setup a dedicated pistol bag soon. My "range bag" is a pretty good work out moving it around with rifle ammo, pistol ammo, target stapler, tools, and other stuff in it.

This one serves me well. When me and @RichardB23 went out to Tac Pro, it held everything I needed including pistol ammo, rifle ammo, targets, tools, bipods, spotting scope, tripod, ear pro, eye pro, etc. Plus handguns and mags in the side pockets. It was packed the gills and wasnt light by any means but it got the job done.

First mag through the VP9SK at 7 yards today. I fucked the 6th shot. But the other 9 were decent. Consistently low and right through the entire 100 rounds I shot. Not sure if it's me adjusting to the new gun or if it's the gun itself. Hopefully I can get back soon to run some more through the gun. I'm loving it so far though. Completley happy with the purchase.

It's you. 99.99% of the time it's not the gun that's the problem. (I'm not trying to be a dick or anything but it's the truth). You need to put a thousand rounds through that pistol so you can learn it inside and out.
But that grouping looks good for such a short barrel.

Grip and trigger finger placement are the biggies. My last range trip I spent a bit of time adjusting pad placement on the trigger and picked up a bit of improvement. I just do not want to get too set with muscle memory before I get a PRP trigger dropped in.

Shot this past weekend in Road Island. Those guys have great shooting clubs all over. Plinked pistols Friday at an outdoor range. Shotguns Saturday for trap & sporting clays. My buddy's Glock failed about 50 times Fri and that was interesting. I couldn't shoot it for crap because I'm not used to jambs and double feeds every other round. Good practice I guess. Also tried some electric ears and fell in love with them so I guess Ill have to grab some of them now. It was nice not yelling for once.

I bought some electric ears for the first time about two months ago. They're super nice. Wish I had gotten them long ago. Mine were just some cheap ones off of Amazon. I might look into getting some nicer ones and let the girlfriend have these.

My buddy had me put in plugs before the ears so I'm not certain on their own they would work. Gotta do some more research before I buy a pair. All I know is I could hear guys 6 lanes over talking clear as day. It was kinda scary. I know I won't be talking smack about anyone at the range anymore since some of them are wearing them lol

Ive been out of it so long....I never thought I'd see plastic triggers. Prob feel 10X better than my metal ones I had to file down so they wouldn't cause blisters and cuts.

+2 mag extension showes up yesterday to replace the +0 pinky extension that came on one of the factory mags. This is actually a much better pinky rest than the other one was.

I like that, I wish it had a bit more of a rounded trigger guard, sometimes I worry on the design vs quick draw from conceal holster. I would want to shoot one before I committed to a purchase though.
