and down the rabbit hole you go lol

His buy once cry once theory is expensive when in practice, but the best stuff always is....and still prob cheaper than buying a crappy can then finding out it sucks and having to then buy a good one.

This.

I figured you would be the authority on the subject matter.

Those are all twice the price though, unless on sale....
I did months of research before I pulled the trigger on buying my suppressors. I just try to save you guys some time researching it.

You'll need to add $200 for a tax stamp + $75-$150 for FFL transfer of the Octane from that website to your FFL of choice. OR you buy straight from SilencerShop and save the transfer fee money because SilencerShop doesn't charge you when shipping a suppressor you buy from them to a SilencerShop dealer. So you could get a better suppressor for almost the same cost of the Octane once you pay those fees.

I have wasted so much money buying cheap gun shit only to hate or break it. I just try to keep guys from making the same mistakes here lol If you truly care about quality gun parts, it actually shrinks your choices down to a few vendors which makes it easier to decide what you want! Speaking of quality gun parts, I should have some goodies on my doorstep when I get home today! :)

Oh I get it - I'm that way with all my other gear. Still got a 22 year old North Face jacket in great shape Ive worn on just about every highest peak in the lower 49 & Canada that has a ski resort on it lol

Some of my gear is so old Ive often thought of writing the companies a letter and thanking them for their great products then asking them what happened to that quality because today's stuff lasts a few seasons at most.

Ive got a month left before my stuff "should" ship. Time will tell how accurate their lead times are.

The dealer/website is about 30 minutes from my house, so I wouldn't have them ship it anywhere to do an FFL.

Ahh ok gotcha. Then yeah that'll be a cheap option for you. I'd still shop around to get a better can. NFA items are for life pretty much since there isn't a market for used suppressors. So NFA items is one area I WOULDN'T cheap out on. Buy the best you can find or save up and get it then.

X2... I heard that this morning on am radio and was not pleased. I don't own anything made by Colt, but they just made sure I never will.

Just saw last night that S&W is reintroducing their 10mm revolvers to the market again. They looked pretty cool. I like the ability to shoot 10mm & .40 out of the same gun, especially since I'm already invested in .40

Starting to make me wonder if I should just get a AR10 now lol... last one I built online would take all my money out of my land fund, but if I have land I can't defend from far away whats the point of having it if I get kicked off it the first signs of shit hitting the fan. I'd really like to add a semi auto high precision squirt gun to my collection.

Meh, you can get far enough with what you have out 400plus meters with nice optics, better ammo, it will kill.

I shot expert in the military several times, with flip up iron sites out 300meters, standard issue 556 military ammo...

If you don’t ever save enough to buy land, you will not have your land to defend... and if it’s ‘your land’, you should have a tactical advantage because you will know the terrain that much better...If you stay where your at forever, close quarters engagement with 556 with be better anyways.

Built this 6.5 Grendel upper today. I still need to buy a JP Enterprises 6.5G bolt for it and some mags. That'll be next months purchases lol This build will allow me to reach out to 900 yards in a tiny package. It'll also be my new hunting rig once I get my scope in.

V Seven upper receiver
V Seven Air dust cover
V Seven Titanium dust cover rod
Rainier Arms 12.5" 6.5 Grendel barrel
SLR .750 adjustable gas block (I reused this one from another upper build I tore apart and sold.)
Spikes Melonited Carbine gas tube. (I had this sitting around in my parts bin. It's brand new.)
Dead Air Muzzle Brake
SLR Ion Lite 10.7" MLOK Handguard
Soon to be: JP Enterprises 6.5 Grendel bolt
Vortex Razor 3-18x50 EBR-7 MRAD scope

Very true. + I like the idea of having a 6.5 bolt gun if I really want to reach out and they are fairly cheap comparability. The Tikka the Mounties just got issued had me drooling last year when I saw it. Perfect all around rifle for the cold weather conditions I'd like to enjoy

Fuck NJ and their bullshit laws.

Pretty much. We just need more conservatives t move here so we can change our laws. Anyone willing to help a brother out? lol

Here's a video on that Tikka. My coworker has one and it's a shooter for sure.

That JP will reach out to 400 yards so easy. My buddy made hits with his JP out to 650 yards with 55gr Wolf Gold. His only limitation besides himself was his 1-6x scope.

My FFL has some Tikkas - I'm going to put my hands on one when I grab my jp and see how it feels.

I handled a few Tikkas at a gun shop down the road from my office. I was impressed at how smooth the action was but the stocks all seem to be cheaper. A lot of people drop the action into a better stock and now I know why.
