When I had a loaner RX350 for a few weeks I considered taking it on the High Water trip to the Ozarks. Wasn't the AWD version

I had plan on doing some casting at the range today, buts it misting and winds are stupid crazy, just making the most out of the loaner Lexy RX with a little bit of Baja expedition in S. Texas, it runs a lot smoother at faster speeds than my truck.
It rode decent with 500lbs of corn in it too. View attachment 33728
We were driving around my bosses 260 acres in a brand spanking new Chevy Express Rental van. That van worked really well offroad lol

Finally decided to order a trigger to round out my Remington 700 build. Now I just have to wait on brown truck Santa to bring my TriggerTech Special trigger.

I'm waiting for my neighbor to finish his 6.5 CM. He is waiting on hand guards.

My landscaper sent me some pictures yesterday (I fucking erased them on accident) of a rusted out Highpoint he found buried in the leaves at our Transfer Point in Bryan. Told him that rust was probably a factory option and in the dirt was the best place for it. He ended up notifying the PD. At least he was smart enough to glove up when his dumbass picked it up lol

Range trip today had mixed results. The wind was not favorable at 10 mph with 15 mph gusts from the 8 o'clock position. The 300 BlackOut SBR setup dialed in pretty quick and will get fine tuned later in better conditions. That guy way out left was a flyer; I was braced into the wind and it stopped right as I broke the trigger. I can be happy with this for no brace or bipod at 100 yds off the bench in the wind.

The 6.5 Grendel setup made me happy and upset at the same time. The target results were pretty good considering the wind but the recent stock / buffer change caused some issues cycling today. About every 3rd round would fail to extract all the way. So a buffer system upgrade is on the short list. The target showed some good results for the overall setup though. This is through the Vortex Strike Eagle 1-8 which is a heck of a setup. Right after this group I adjusted 1" down and hit a few right on the money. I think this was 13 or 15 rounds of my range reloads on target.

A few interviews I saw he referred to his previous gun control laws from the 90s (the failed assault weapons ban from Clinton's era). Seems like Congress is not going to do anything to support his agenda so he is going to try to screw us every other way he can by putting a gun control lobbyist in charge of the ATF. It may be a long ride.

Yup, B can't fall down the stairs fast enough and the ATF is now tasked for coming up with Red Flag model/regulation/laws.

The house is able to pass any bill.

The 94' Brady Bill passed with the 52 votes in the Senate, don't think for a minute the liberals will not evoke that nuclear option to get something passed in his term.
