Yes, but so would moving the hanger forward 1/2"

A shorter shackle will decrease your drop

If I move it forward then I'll be welding it on....holes are too close together.

I may just leave it. Truck feels great on the trail and hwy. Less "springy" than it was before.

I think your angle is fine. That's how I set mine up on the 4Runner. Feels more stable at speed and get the most drop. Only thing to worry about is if they're able to invert on you

I don't think they will invert.......it droops for days........I tried all day yesterday to completely flex it out, couldn't do it......need rougher trails. lol.....man I wish Mountain City was open!

Oh, and talked with Tim with the SAS'd runner that has the front axle I have dibs on.........he said it should be out around spring, he said it got moved back. Good news is it comes with links, steering, hydro assist, and everything......hopefully shocks also. I just have to change the Panhard axle mount and add a swaybar.

Get his rear axle while you are at it. Come on.. you know you want it. <peer pressure.. first hits free> :)

lol.....it's already out of the truck....he wants $1800 for it........think I'll pass.

just buy it, by the time Spring hits, you'll have enough to pay him for the front.

x2. The way these axles move with travel on these trucks, you REALLY have to fuck up shackle angle to get an inversion. The first force upon uptravel is going to be rearward and upward on a line well below the shackle bushing mounted to the frame. I'm not gonna run the numbers, but you'd have to be SUPER far forward at full droop to get an inversion.

That said, welding in some stops to prevent an inversion would be pretty easy I'd think.
