The front housing is fully welded now. (minus the shock mounts) You can see my donor knuckles and spindles in the background with my 3rd member as well.

Looking good!! I won't have mine done by the weekend either. :( So that 3/8th's bar around the drainplug... sounds like a less $$ alternative to that Ballistic fab skid I bought... and BTW, it will not fit on the rear end. Did you bench bleed that MC?

Bench bleed ? Whats that? JK has been done :) 3/8 bar was way cheaper than the Ballistic skid. Trying to get the pics uploaded now.

Here is some other stuff I got finished with last night.

Got the TC shifter seat put in. This really firmed up the shifting pattern

More pics of the axle. Dales welds are awesome BTW. He ended up using his MIG instead of the TIG due to technical difficulties

I also test fit the HP 3rd. Its a little tight but I think it will go in with some technique :)

Also got the knuckles spray bombed last night as well

Did a little playing around in MS paint. This is how I want to trim the front fenders up.

Looking good Chris, I like the fender triming too. How do you plan to pull it off & tie into the inner fenders? I have seen people cut "fingers" and roll the sheet metal under.

I tried the finger technique. My mistake was that I "scored" a line around where I wanted to have them bend up to.. and that score line then cracked when I bent the fingers over. I suppose I scored it too deep, but IMO if you can do it, the finger tech is gonna give you the best results.

Thats what i planned on doing. I want to keep that inner fender edge fairly smooth.

Got an update from Dale and Ray last night

Flexed out the front end to measure for bump stop placement

The 14" Bilsteins I got should work well up front.
The 12" Billsteins should be in this week so we can get the rear finished up.

Also changed out the front shackles to some OEM T-100 ones that were a tad shorter than the ones I had on. Thanks Ray

The front hanger and bumper stiffener will be welded in today completely.

Front axle should be well on its way today. The diff opening needs a little clearancing with a grinder/burr to get the diff in all the way.

I finally found the Bilstein bushing part number for the 14" 5125's I have in the front.

Here is the number for future reference E4-B46-248B These are the same bushings top and bottom BTW

The shocks that I have were used so you know how that goes. For anyone that has these:

BIL-BE5-6250-H5 14" 5125
BIL-BE5-6249-H5 12" 5125

These bushings will work for either of them and are a commonly used shock in my type of build.

Got the chrome grille spray bombed with 3 coats of black last night.

Crappy progress I know but progress nonetheless

Do the rear's mount to a crossmember or in the stock location?

I'm guessing he is going to have his rears set up / \ with a x member between the frame rails.

I was looking at that shock hoop yesterday and debating on weather I should make it or buy it.

It probably would be easier to make Rob. You want some measurements its not welded in yet
