That sounds like a pretty thin maybe so I'll keep you off the list for now. Let me know when you find out more.

No doubt. We'll see if he has the time or the inclination after his trip in May...

Well just found out that the wife's work is going to fuck her over and possibly not give her the days off so it might just be me. But we r still working on that. If the next time Lu are under your truck Greg u could snap a pic or two of the skid. I want to try to get mine done before the trip but I'm not sure if that is going to happen or not. I'm going to at least have the front bumper skid tie into the lower front skid and back to the crossmember but I'm not sure how far back I'm going to be able to get them before the trip. And I can't wait to see finished pics of yours as well. How is the application process going by the way?

Good luck to her. We need her. She takes good pictures. I did my skids in pieces (still in progress as we speak). They for the most part are just like the factory ones but a hell of a lot stronger. I reused many of the factory bolt holes. A few I didn't because they're kind of skimpy. Even those I mounted in a nearby stronger location. When they're done I'll put up some final pics on my build but for now I'll text you a few. If I forget, remind me. You can have them done for the trip no problem. They're not real time consuming to make. Nothing like bumpers.

Currently under background investigation. Probably won't hear anything for another couple of weeks. Maybe even a month.

Possibly. We'll see. Its up in the air. Trip's still on though. Worst case scenario, Graham's got what I can't do covered.

Hey guys, I was planning on going to the Guadalupe Mountaints in West Texas in May, but with these stupid gas prices I figured I'd go there either on the way to the Four Corners Meet or on the way back.

Anybody wanna tag along?

I might go with you if the wife isn't with me. SHe has to get back for work, and I do not.

I'd love to go back there. It's been over a decade since I was last out there. Definitely the best mountains in TX.

Ya, I wanna check out Guadalupe Peak, El Capitan, and McKittrick Canyon. Seems like it would be some good pics.

The 2nd annual!

It will begin July 22, 2011. Here is a brief description and loose agenda for the trip.

Day #1 Farmington, NM at The Glade (Chokecherry Canyon). 9:00 meet and greet plus airdown; 9:30 wheeling. We'll meet at the intersection/parking area of Glade Rd. [dirt] and Piñon Hills Blvd. If you Google map it, Glade Rd. is off Piñon Hills Blvd. about a mile north of the 30th St. intersection in Farmington, NM.

Night #1 We'll leave Farmington at about 3:00 for a 2 hour drive to camp at Clear Lake. Just north of Silverton on the way to Ouray.

Days #2 We'll hit Black Bear Pass early in the morning. If we push the pace and time allows, we'll return on Imogene Pass. If we choose to take a more relaxed pace (check out Telluride, etc.) or it's getting late, we'll shoot back on the faster Ophir Pass. We'll discuss our options around the night #1 campfire.

Night #2 will be camping again at Clear Lake.

Day #3 is Poughkeepsie Gulch. This will only take half a day for those of you that want to head home. If some want to fill the day, we can play around on other trails in the Silverton/Ouray area or head back south to do Aztec Rock Garden or hit some more stuff in The Glade.

Day #4 I may head to Moab (2.5-3 hours away). Wanna come?

If you care to extend your trip, I can point you in some great directions.

Do you have a map of this trip like wheeling, camping, groceries stores, gas stations all in a Google map to give an idea what you have planed. I see the first day you want to meet at Farmington, NM for us in Katy Texas it will take us 17 hours 43 mins 1020 miles to get to you. I would need a bit more like a map :) -Thanks

Where'd you get the training manual? Amazon or eBay?

Training manual? In my pants... I've got a pair, lol.

You have to start with a good woman though (and I think I have a damn good one). If you pick a bad one, no amount of training will help. Also, you can't be afraid of a little crying. The few times it happens she usually apologizes to me for being irrational. If I quick appoligized every time she teared up we would get no where. Marriage is hard and it's just a matter of time till one of you gets upset with the other. If you can just accept that as normal (because it is), it makes it alot easier to resolve any conflicts and move on.
