Speaking of fucked....Umm I think I messed up something in my steering components. When my passenger side is compressed the steering makes a groaning noise. Doesn't do it when truck is sitting level. Steering is still very responsive.

Probably just the pump working a little harder under stress. I know mine mare all kinds of noise before I went to hydro assist
That's kind of what I was thinking but it didn't so it before so I get a wee bit apprehensive when the truck makes new noises. Dammit Jim I'm an accountant not a truck doctor!

Its a pretty easy fix. I got lucky on my eLocker a while back and just had to tighten up the pinion nut a smidge to stop a leak (its worth a shot). Since then I swapped out to the 8.4 and so far so good.

Well the correct way to do it is a pain, have to replace the crush sleeve on the pinion to properly reset the pinion preload after removing the yoke which involves removing and disassembling the third member. But no one ever does that unless you totally rebuilding it.
Unstated the pinion nut back it off counting the turns remove/replace the seal put the pinion nut back on the same number of turns plus 1/8-1/4 extra turns to tighten the preload back down

Whats this warranty thing you speak of? After I modified my rig those assholes would't touch it. Granted I wanted them to cover the first e-locker I grenanded. Cock breathes always had an excuse. Fuck Toyota of Round Rock... lick my sack bitches!! I hope that turns up in a Google search.
LOL yeah these guys tried the, "you had it off road so no more warranty" I called Toyota Canada and they said, "So, let me get this straight.....you were using the truck for what it was designed for and now the dealership will not honor the warranty?" "Yes." "I'll contact the dealership and they will be in touch to set up an appointment with you to fix your axle seal."
And they never questioned anything I ever did ever again....
