One of the guys last year did fine with only an LSD in a second gen. One open rear first gen had to winch up a hill, but that was the only time anyone needed help........until Blake got stuck on a log because he isn't lifted :D

Also re-read the first post. Funny stuff. Hope my tires pass the TOR approval....Maybe I just won't drive anywhere until October.

From expedition portal. Direct quote of the guy that made the above posted video. Again he calls this the High Water Mark Trail.
"6 guys, 4 rigs, 3 days in the Ozarks. This was our 3rd trip as a group, but our first time to the Ozark National Forest and our first multi-day "overlanding" trip. We spent a couple months prior to the trip planning our route, gathering and testing equipment, and modifying our rigs in hopes of making the trip go as smooth as possible. Luckily our planning and preparation paid off and we successfully executed a trip to remember and learned many lessons which will be applied to future trips.

We did 80 miles of the 140 mile long "High Water Mark" track, that Jayston from Overland Guild (Guild of Overland Adventure - Index) provided us with. This is a BEAUTIFUL area with lots of good elevation change, clean and clear creeks and rivers, waterfalls, and caves. Exploration of this area is limitless and it will take years to see it all. The trail wasn't too difficult, mostly rock and compacted dirt trails; but choose your lines carefully, because a bad choice on an unassuming mud puddle might land you stranded in something much deeper than it appears.

Our trip started near Jerusalem, wound around 80 miles north and west through the OZNF, and ended near Sand Gap on Highway 123. Our trip took place on the next to last weekend in October, during peak fall foliage, and planning it at that time paid off greatly. Snorkels are highly suggested, but not required, as my rig fared just fine (although we ran this trail during a dry spell, so water levels were lower than normal), and walking of water crossings and mud holes is a must."

Don't think that's the same trip as in the video.

Should have bought my Hankooks I had for sale. Your tires should be fine but replace that damn winch line!

Looks like we need an app on our phone.

"No account? Create one in the Trimble Outdoors mobile app."

I learn as I go
I'll still check my maps when I get home and see if it's the same one I have. I have old school printout of an overland trail, but don't remember if it is the same one.

I've got the winch line and a flat link sitting in my room in Dallas. Just going to have to wait until I get the truck back for summer to install it. Tires should be nice and smooth by October, but I'll be fine. I'll winch myself up if I need to

Yeah I've downloaded like 6 Trimble apps and made accounts on all of them and still can't log in to the website. Idk what's going on. If nothing else, I can probably recreate the map by hand in Google Maps. It will take some time but I'm off work until Saturday night so I have nothing but time if need be.

WTF? How come none of mine let me in? Maybe the app you have to use isn't available on Android? Because I downloaded every app they have in the Google Play Store and none of them worked.
