Panhard Correction Kit

It is not a war crime the first time.

So I ordered a panhard correction kit from eimkeith on T4R earlier this year. I finally got around to starting the install. Overall it is pretty straight forard; clean off the metal to weld on the extensions. Then put the panhard bar back in with new length adjustment.

First - my panhard bar ends were rusted solid so they were a real bitch to get loose. I ended up using a large bench vise, pipe wrench, and heat to get them loose. Second - I tried doing this with the wheels on and ended up needing to take them off for room to weld everything right. So just take the tires off from the start. And last - make sure you have an adjustable panhard bar before doing this.

I used to get the "roll alarm" beep a lot on some of the side roads and taking turns kind of fast/sharp. After driving around with this installed for a day I have not had the alarm at all. Now I am able to take turns 5 - 10 mph faster and the 4Runner stays much more level than before. It really feels like the front sway bar is connected again. So for the money and time I think it is a pretty solid upgrade/ fix.

Now for pics because we all love pics.

The 3rd gen 4Runner requires two pieces - this is the axle piece. I have not installed the frame piece yet.
