I guess they just needed those hired protesters to come to Hillary events to create a draw. I wonder if she is still napping?

Bahaha let her sink into oblivion with all the other politicians that failed.
I predict she will have major health issues in the upcoming 4 years and it will be covered in detail just like FDR's polio was back in the day. One thing is consistent - the press covers for any defects for Democrats.

Sounds like you wanted Killary, she does favorite lawyers
Nope. I wanted what was best for the country.
My facebook friends list got smaller this week, and I'm the least bit upset about it. If I feel you're stupid, I'm OK not being internet-connected. I deleted 10-12 this week, and 1/2 are really mad with me. I don't get it...
Shit mine too. I am fine with people supporting whoever they wish. It is when it gets to the point of me realizing that that person is truly just a bad person that I delete them. Such as the ones posting racist stuff since it is now ok to do so.
I'm still laughing. There is an immigration lawyer in Toronto who had numerous phone calls from Americans looking into moving.
I'm with you, stay and fight for your country. In addition, to become a Canadian citizen you have to swear allegiance to the Queen... No thanks.

Nope. I wanted what I thought was best for the country. I think corruption and destruction of evidence is a practice I could make some money from.

I'm with you, stay and enjoy lower taxes and greater freedoms from this new President and undermine our country. In addition, to become a Canadian citizen you have to swear allegiance to the Queen... No thanks - Too much work.

FTFY - Not what you said, I understand, just what I heard. :)

Once the initial shock has worn off I started thinking about everything. I'm willing to give the guy a shot. I mean I can never respect him as a person cause of his views of minorities and woman but that is fine. As long as he serves the country well I do not care what his personal views are.

Why do you want to undermine the country?

And really? Going to attack my career choice because I do not share the same political viewpoint as you? Let's keep it mature and not resort to personal attacks.

I have worked with attorneys all of my career. Admire those that prevent law. I just have a POV that is different than yours. That's all.

When I was 5-7 the neighborhood moms would take turns putting 8-10 kids in a station wagon and taking us to a park. These days. There was never a fear of lawsuits for mishaps. Today you think twice of even helping a child for fear of being sued or worse yet, arrested.

During my 7th birthday party, my new friend bent over to pet our dog. Our dog bit the kid in the face. Although the dog had never been aggressive, we put the dog to sleep. When my family checked up on the child, the kid was proud of his facial scar - thought it made him look cool. - Today it would have been a law suit.

My father was hit by a tractor trailer fuel truck. He was thrown from his car about 50 feet and landed on a small plot of grass. He had 7 broken ribs, two broken arms and a broken leg. My father did not sue but the fuel company gave him a check for $42,000. He took that money and found the best public school system in our state, bought a home and enrolled us in that school. He then traveled 2 hrs one way to work so that his kids would get the best education he could get us. Today that would have been multiple millions in a lawsuit.

When I was sick, home from school, you would always see ads for truck driving schools, cosmetology schools, electronics schools, etc. Then 1977 came along and we 'progressed' by allowing attorneys to advertise their services. Nowadays those advertisements are replaced on how to sue your neighbor, your workplace and your mom.

Fast forward to the OJ Trial and Court TV. This started our current situation whereby there are many fake and real (Judge Judy and that the other one are the only ones that I know that are not scripted) court shows. Here we teach snowflakes that the only way to settle something is to SUE THE BASTARDS!!! And sadly it is all about TV advertising revenues - what better platform is there to advertise for lawyers? That is the only reason you can pretty much find a local court show during almost any hour that someone may be unemployed or home from work. Entertaining but it certainly has seemed to increase the number of lawsuits.

I once thought I would go to law school to become a Patent Attorney. I had a few friends that talked me out of it.

Then you look at the way society looks at professions I am not the only one that has one that is not admired by many.

I have a personal friend who was an Attorney General not far from Texas - he had a great living as an attorney and I would not want to piss him off.

There is a consultant that I've hired from time-t0-time that was a top litigator. He would win all of his arguments. He made serious bank. Then one day he realized that if he was going to be the father to his 8 children, he would have to, not win every argument. He now has a good consulting business but does not want to enter a court again.

According to Scientific Marketing and Advertising here is a list of the least admired jobs:

20 *Sleaziest Ways To Make a Living
  1. Drug Dealer (0.61)
  2. Crime Boss (0.99)
  3. TV Evangelist (1.19)
  4. Prostitute (1.24)
  5. Street Peddler (1.45)
  6. Local Politician (1.52)
  7. Congressman (1.58)
  8. Car Salesman (1.59)
  9. Rock Star (1.72) <----- this one would have been fun anyway ;)
  10. Insurance Salesman (1.76)
  11. Union Leader (1.89)
  12. Wall Street Executive (1.92)
  13. Real Estate Agent (1.92) <-------------- I have to live with this until they know me
  14. TV Executive (1.94)
  15. Oil Company Executive (1.94)
  16. Lawyer (1.97)
  17. Soap Opera Star (2.00)
  18. Movie Star (2.00)
  19. Broker (2.00)
  20. Prison Guard (2.02)
I'm not saying it is an awful career choice, it's just one that requires a very thick skin. Sure there are different branches of the profession that can be better than another.

If you are going to thrive as an attorney - OWN IT. :) I will not be the only one that might have that opinion. Do what you love and that is all that matters. Be the best that you can be and you will be a superstar. Don't GAF about what others say AS LONG AS YOU ARE CONFIDENT IN WHAT YOU DO. That's all.

This has been a Public Service Announcement.

* this was reduced in size as not to be as inflammatory as it may seem (that word sleazy was not mine).
