Ordered up some bling for the fuel cell.

Artec fuel cell brackets.. not needed since I have straps but I just liked it.

Also ordered Professional Products Powerflow EFI electric fuel pump. Pro Products fuel pressure regulator and inline filter. Also ordered two Walbro fuel pickups to put into the fuel cell.. one on each side to prevent starving when on inclines or off camber. Next up will be fittings and line. I figure I'll get everything together and then figure out how much braided hose I'll need as well as what fittings and sizes I need.

You know you have all that area back there above the rear axle.. begging for a flat bed and fuel cell. :)

Oh I know that all too well!!! I also have an area under the bonnet that is itching for a 3RZ - I wonder if I'll be able to keep the flat belly with that? I am thinking about redoing the flat belly 'cause I'm not in love with some of the catastrophic grenading I've seen from people using the FROR mount-to-the-back-of-the-tcase mounting plates. There is a reason that all motors and aircraft engines are held by 3 mounting points!

I owned that FROR t-case mount and skid. I sold it.. I just didn't like the idea that my skid was attached directly to my t-case. I'd rather have impacts flow into the frame than into my driveline.

I am completely with you on that one!

Yeah, I wish I would have found them before I ordered the straps.. oh well. But all the rest of the fuel parts should be here by Wednesday.. just need to get the fuel line and fittings. There is a place here locally that sells them so if I get down there with the parts I might be able to install this thing next weekend. But when its 103 outside it REALLY removes all my motivation to do anything on it. Maybe I'll just collect parts until it cools off.. should be cooler in December right?

That guy ROCKS!!! I ordered that stuff on Friday and it was delivered today! Very impressed! I pulled the studs out already but the two pins are being difficult. Plus its effin hot outside so I'm quitting for the night.. might go out early in the morning before the sun turns the garage into an EZ-Bake oven.

I'm glad to hear you had the same experience as I did! I was about to tell you not to use the nuts from your new studs to remove them - then I remembered that you had the hub kit. You have to drill those holes out, huh? The nuts from the TG stud kit that I used stripped right out when I tried to double nut them! I spoke with the sales manager and he said he would 'take care' of me, what ever that meant. Damn Manderin nuts I tell you!!! They must have 'tea-bagged' those nuts instead of heat treating them! I have heard others had the same problem (Marlon).

Damn!! Did he send you some new ones? Wonder if I should look online for some higher quality ones? An ARP stud doesn't do much good if the nuts strip off.

We'll find out. I am using the originals. Remember this - the load on that hub creates a shear on the stud - not a tension load on the nut. I'm not worring about it.

Oh yeah - he hasn't yet but he will when he finds a solution.

Very good point. I'll just be sure to torque them to the proper specs.

When you installed them you had to drill the hub to allow for the new pins correct? What depth did you drill them to? I didn't see any instructions in the box so I wasn't sure. Also, any tips to easliy remove the factory pins in the hub? The studs where easy enough to pull, but the pins are not budging.
