Ordered a 15 gallon RCI aluminum fuel cell. 9" wide x 12" high and 30" long. Should fit behind the cab nicely.. it has 3 pickups so I'll use two and put them into the corners on the side of the cell. Need to research adding an electric fuel pump to the mix. My current fuel tank is so beat that I'm afraid it will rupture. I was under the rig this week and decided that it had to go sooner than later.

¿Cuánto cuesta?

Under $300 with straps. I'll probably need to spend another 100-150 on line/fittings and a pump.

You gonna just stick it in the bed?

Yeah, up front in the bed where the toolbox and HiLift are currently. I'll relocate those further in the back. Probably build a HiLift mount to run along the bed rail.

That would be very cool!!! A month or so late but cool all the same.

Back to the fuel cell. I've got a chub just thinking about it but I may sap my jeans if there was a picture here!

Damn near pealed my A-pillar off the truck. I thought... lets just drive on the passenger side sheet metal. Didn't work out so well lol

So how long before the raisen ends up with an F-toy chassis

Same thing pictured below.. just hasn't arrived yet. I'll try to snag some pics of the bashed to hell stock tank later today.

Ehh.. I'd go X Chassis over F-toy. A little more $$ but I like the looks and the suspension setup better. Granted I can link an F-toy, the X is pretty much already setup for it.

Even Nicer!!!

These items made a connection in my brain to http://www.playtechracing.com/

This shop is owned by the guy that sold me my red labels. I sport wood each time I've been there! The last time, one guy was welding up a custom fuel cell. I would love to be this guy's 16 year old!!! He was putting finishing touches on his V8 buggy!!!

Another interesting note was how Currie delivers tacked together rears. He fabs all his stuff then the rear goes back to be straightened and then burned in.

Talk about chubs!!!

I just like the look of a "pickup" truck with a tube bed (truggy) over the buggy. But this X-Chassis is sweet.. http://hendrixmotorsports.com/id9.html The Z chassis is sweet as well.. albeit using a Zuki drivetrain. I like the look of the stock hood and cowl. http://hendrixmotorsports.com/id5.html

I'll probably just add some new sheetmetal to mine, build a tube bed.. link it F&R and then add some type of front bumper that rolls up over the fenders and into the sliders/interior cage. Save myself some coin over a complete new rig.. but they would be nice. Maybe when I'm not paying for college tuition for my kids. :)

Kids college certainly will cause fewer hangovers and a much bigger payback!!! :D Now if they get full ticket scholarships, I will meet you in Ensenada!!! :D

Well I think its gonna cost a little more to install this tank than I thought. Seems I'll be buying an aftermarket pump (130), inline fuel filter (35), braided lines and fittings ($150-200).. maybe a fuel pressure regulator (100). Hmmm..
