I'm going the 22 through 24th.. I have to fly back because I have to fly out on the 25 to meet my lawyer for some bullshit over my older kids. I'm the asshole who just won't write a blank check without an invoice from the ex. So anyhow.. I'd love to stay and play hookie and meetup but this court date has me pretty committed. Next time for sure.

Well, 'next time' I should have the pig ready to! The sierras are great places to wheel. Was able to show broker some of the mild stuff but I'm sure we'll get him exposed to some of the more challenging spots before the season ends.

Jason came down this weekend and we did a little work on the Raisin. Got the passenger hub/flange all knocked out. I took some 1/4 cadium plated washers and drilled them out to use in conjunction with the cone washers and lock washers.. gives the nuts a little more bite.
Ran into a snag on the driver side. First the hub would NOT come off. Had to disassemble the hub from the outside and pull the snap ring to get it off. Turns out there was also 2 broken hub studs.. and they where not coming out. Also appears that the outer hub seal failed cause it was FULL of nasty shit. So I ordered another hub off eBay and will clean it up and fill it with new bearings and seals when it comes in.
Finally we replaced the bushings out back that where pretty much disintegrated.
So I'm sorta on hold now until I get more parts in. Hopefully by the middle of the week I can do some more.

Well I got a little motivation this afternoon.. It was either wrench or mow.
Anyhow picked a place for my iPod remote. It will be the only piece of visible functioning audio controls. Radio is dead. Although I might add a remote volume control later.
Also determined that I will need a triple stick or cut/grind/weld my existing rear t-case shifter to make a little room for the Sammy Tuffy console I want to pick up. So a cutting/grinding/welding I did.

Hopefully it will give me enough room. Otherwise I'll have to order up that triple stick kit and install it this fall when I pull the cases to install chromo outputs and do a mild rebuild on them (replace any worn bearings/races and all the gaskets).
