Its close.. but it clears. Camera angle makes it look closer than it is. At least so far it clears.

I want to link it.. The guy I am buying the plasma from built his link setup front and rear and it was a monster. So maybe this winter.

Yeah. You're right. Doesn't the start of plasma season fall on September 29 this year. :)

What plasma are you getting? Start saving bearing races and such for guides.

I'm getting a Hobart 250ci. It's only a 110 unit but for gussets and tubing it should be fine.

I great those are great, but useless in Texas as the humidity level is too high to operate. You'll basically be pushing humidity through the compressor and won't get a good cut.this is what I was told by the owner of a welding supply shop.

Even with a good dryer?

Well the guy I'm getting it from built his rig, in Texas, using one. So I think it will work fine. If I was in Houston I might worry.

Ya,im guessing most folks run them out the box with no external dryer or filter. The guy at the welding shop did say one could be ran externally. Those 250ci are badass..i dont have the garage space for a full size compressor,so youll have to let me know how you like it.

I'll look into a dryer, they are cheap insurance. But for as little as I plan to use it I think it will be fine.

"We" picked up one of these dual voltage puppies for $600. It has more than paid for itself in the matter of time it took to deconstruct and pull off brackets and such...

My only complaint is that I thought it was going through consumables like butter... I found that if I varied current before changing, they lasted forever! :D

Where the hell did you find one of those for 600 bucks, things are almost 2 grand new

The other half of "We" is very good at searching the want ads. This was owned by a guy that used it to create a bunch of art for two years. :D He switched to cutting discs since he felt he had more control. He was a good dude from what I saw! :D

Pulled a fender off to see what I'm in for when I go to make it pretty again. Its going to be a challenge to get the fender to line up with the mounting holes I can say that for sure. But it did give me some ideas for some tube work up front.. basically putting it under the sheetmetal and tying into the sliders and cage.

I'm all good on studs, thanks for the offer. I got those all replaced with the ARP's and then I drilled out the driver side hub (only one left) tonight.. tomorrow I'll go pick up seals and bearings.

I did add some mojo to the dash though.. a little hula chic with her ass showing. :)
