I served with 2/4 Golf Co in 2005. The Marines I was with spoke first hand of the root top ambush/ killing of the sniper team. Another thing the article does not say/ know - 2/4 and 3/5 are both from the same camp at Camp Pendleton. As Marines a good number of the people involved knew each other from going to the same chow hall, gym, and common areas at camp.
