Where do we sign up!?!?!? That would be awesome.
Met an Ol' sweet Lady at the military food court today.
She was from Greece; she married a service member back during WWII, they moved to San Antonio after the war.
Her Husband died about 20years later and she decided to get a job, she didnt speak much English back then and her job choice was limited and the lowest pay the Army base offered.
She speaks English now but she never choose to seek better employment positions over the years. Well I asked how young she was and her repliy was that she had turned 79 this past August. I asked her about if she had any plans on retiring and she said in 2 more years. She has been mostly doing the same type job for 48yrs; and she insisted on taking our food trays and dumping our trash.
Just think....I bet you that this women would run circles around you. I engage a conversation with her co-worker, mid 20's male who was changing the trash bags out and he said she will probably out live him.
I stopped her again on our way out and told her she was merly sweet sixteen with 63yrs of kindness, she was happy and very eager to tell my boys Happy Thanksgiving. She was truly a humble person.
I wish we had more people like her.
