I spend 75% of my day "consulting" architects on why they can't do something then showing them what they need to do so I read that building concept with a grain of salt.

The funny part is what they are willing to explore to "get around" zoning laws/codes in NYC. Majority of my sales are there so I keep an ear to the ground on their buildings. If I sell one buildings worth of "core" work - my year has been a success.

I find it funny how they mention the value of buildings by the square foot in the article. This design leaves out a lot of possible square footage between the two legs/sides. I would love to see how the engineer figures out how to make the building stable enough for natural disasters. It looks like a big slinkie.

You should see what the architects do to save space from the common corridors so the owners get maximum sqft from their rental tenants. So many counter-intuitive designs that go against all common sense and standard safety practices. I could go on and on, but not online. Lets just say all the doors on 25 floors swing the wrong way in the tower that now sits on 9/11 hallowed ground in NYC.
