Supercharger belt?

nah, my takeoff belt from the old 4.0. still good, but when I put the new engine in she got all new hardware.

Like the front suspension - when I'm done this spring I want to be done done so I got all new goodies. Didn't want to put it all back together then to have a shock go bad 2 weeks later.

I am impressed the box did not get turned inside out with the belt in it. My sammich maker wants to know what it would take to get bullet proof glass in all of our windows - I told her if you have to ask it is too much. Thanks for the belt; reminds me I need to change the one on the Tacoma. lol

Our whole building has that around it. At least it’s something similar. But shit the whole place has a 10’ tall fence with sensors and shit built in. But the glass has a special film on it. Someone said it’s for bullets. No idea how true it is. I know the atomic clocks we have won’t work in the building. Someone wasted money on 36 of them. LOL.

Considering what your building does I am surprised there is not more security.

All the Wal-Greens down here used to spec that for their pharmacy windows because it looked nicer than the burglar bars they used to always put on the windows. Well they had to switch back to the burglar bars after they replaced the window with that film on it three times in a row from meth heads trying to break in lol

My guess for your facility based on the limited knowledge I have would be your film is used for blast mitigation. Basically to stop the glass from becoming shrapnel.

That's if it's even true. Film is typically used to retrofit older facilities and if it it blast mitigation film it would have to be structurally secured to the frame so you could see it and tell. If it were new construction there are better ways to integrate safety into the windows at the factory.

My guys were telling me the security desks at the Philly mint were bullet resistant. Makes me wonder how many products are BR rated

dam drug addicts need the visual deterrent from the bars. I'd still want the good glass though.

I always laugh at the places that have BR glass but the walls are standard. Better yet they consider the brick outside wall to be their outside bullet bouncer.

Not hardly.

I ask you, please do not post those videos. Although I watched it at 2x speed, I think I just lost a good 40 minutes watching those vids.... I do like the idea of the LS Ferrari Flood car - something that actually makes a lot of sense in my noggin if you could get the flood car cheap enough. :)

Start at 13:37 - other than sounding like a boat, pretty cool.

Seen general contractors do horrible things over the years. From skimping in the walls for products like radiation shielding - fire rated walls. Pretty disgusting. My boss is one of "those guys" who would do anything to make a $$ (one of the reasons I need to run away)

I did find out this week radiation shielding typically extends just 7' in height. So if your Manute Bol's height and a medical tech at a radiology center you should look for another career

I agree that contractors work the system - but I will still take a building that has been built by a contractor over 99% of homeowners and handymen! lol

I also hear you on the challenge between making a buck and doing less than you promised. Most don’t rely upon a higher source for what’s right. ;)
