Started on Murphy's 3.4 swap this weekend. Got the 3.0 out, engine compartment cleaned up and a few parts swapped over.

need to cut and weld it together... some guys that have done the swap are saying to go to an exhaust shop and get 4 feet of 2 1/2 pipe mandrel bent into a "U" then cut it yourself and weld it to work for the application. then dump driverside and run straight pipe toa cat back(1) O2 sensor to a magnaflow that is on it. i do not need emissions (thank you southern oregon for the great 20 year rule)

I was planning on dropping the whole engine off at an exhaust shop and letting them modify the headers.

Now exactly do they need to be modified? I would think a set of aftermarket headers would work just fine just build your custom exhaust from the headers back would be pretty easy with one of those universal hot rod kits from jegs or summit

The 3.4L headers drop on the passenger side which can make routing exhaust kinda tricky since there's a front drive shaft and gas tank on that side.

Easy problem to solve, short tube headers then cut and invert the y pipe line up tack back in place remove and fully weld.
