Ok I have NEVER fished at the beach before, I have a heavy 6ft rod I guess this will work fine for me? what lb. line do I need?

I use my 6.5' and 7' Medium action spinning rods with 30lb braided line.

Cool my Rod and reel should work fine then with some beefd up line, I use it to pull catfish out of the river so it should be plenty strong..i'm sure I will be drinking more then fishing anyway

yea, add me to the list. not sure what day i'm coming out, depends on work schedules and such. i'll update what im bringing as the trip gets closer. i have friend that has 2 kayaks that i might bring, gonna need to build a rack for the truck.
