Whens the last time you guys looked up outside?

Seeing any planes?

Eerily reminds me of 9/11 the sky's are so quiet. I drive right by PHL multiple times a day and have only seen one small jet take off in days. Used to see like 3 planes per redlight near there.

95% of planes/helos that fly over me are military aircraft, the other 5% is mostly oil helicopters, so I don’t know if there has been significant less commercial flights.

United cut flights out of Austin from 34 to 19.

My house is right under the the north approach to DFW, I was actually surprised how many planes were flying

I was wondering where you are in relation to the north approach last time I came home and it was daylight. I figured you were pretty close.

That bread looks great!

she made some French bread today, damn, it was good, The Laundry Fairy has enough baking supplies that she could probably make another 60 or more 2lb loafs, lol oh well, we’re saving a ton of cash by not eating out anymore anyways and probably eating much healthier food.

I'm under one of the many PHL flight paths at my house and all is quiet on our front. Philly is also shut down so I'm sure that helps. Still a TON of traffic every morning going into the city, but my guess is they were deemed essential like my job has been.

Our guys are about to pull a mutiny against our boss in the field and the office. Can't get too much into it due to legal ramifications, but forcing people to come into a shared office space to work when they can work from home w/o missing a step is just ludicrous. Ive got my own office so luckily I'm not in that boat, but I get their fear. Also had some guys working in a hospital yesterday and lets just say the jobsite was not clean. In fact it was Hazardous and marked appropriately so. That shit doesn't happen on my jobsites so my guys are as safe as possible, but our other PM's can't handle jobs properly on a normal day let alone when extra PPE is required for viruses and pathogens.

I am extremely happy I am no longer supporting medical offices and a hospital. IT is always tagged as essential personnel for any emergency. Now I get to be essential but on a corporate level so we are required to work from home as much as possible until further notice. A few calls I was on yesterday has me thinking we will be like this for the next 3-4 weeks. The local site managers are already planning through the end of the month.

Mutiny in action. Manager just sent the boss two e-mails.

1) No ones going in and out of anyone else's offices from here on out.

2) Anyone that can work from home is going to start.

Our owner is going to flip out, but screw him. He's leading from the rear anyway. Moron isn't in the office today and was here for an hr yesterday. In times like this leaders either take it by the balls and lead by example while insuring their employees are safe or run and hide while panicking and thinking of only yourself. He's the latter. He had better hope no one gets sick here because he's putting out media blasts that are blatant lies and if I ever get put in front of a judge I'm not lying and we will leave it at that.

Sounds very familiar. Both of my higher ups are hiding at home while I'm running all over delivering supplies etc to all our locations and making sure we are getting all our buses disinfected

It’s happening all over the nation though...

But they were going to be released within the next 30 days regardless. I hardly think that a difference of <30 days is going to have any impact on their "rehabilitation."

On one hand, you're letting people out who could (and likely have a higher probability to try) take advantage of people in their state of panic. Thus increasing the opportunistic crime.

[conspiracy theory]
On the other hand, you're releasing people who likely have had limited exposure to whatever the latest strand of illness-causing-pathogens are out there. Since they've been in confinement for such an extended period of time, they are also likely to ignore the social distancing recommendations. This increases their chance of contracting said COVID-19 and reducing the population of convicted criminals on the street. [/conspiracy theory]

think outside the bars, and future encounters with the law....“minimize custodial arrests by filing non-violent offenses at large“

Essentially gives The Criminals a green light for petty crimes and not worry about getting arrested!!

A buddy of mine works for Abbott Labs in Ohio, they develop all kinds of pharmaceutical supplies. He said that today they are starting to send out 150k Covid-19 test kits per day. Also said that their offices in China are back to normal as the virus winds down over there... so maybe some good news.

In further news.

That's not how I took it. I just went back and re-read the article that you posted since it was so short and didn't see the quoted text. It's just early release for those non-violent offenders who were already scheduled for release. Law enforcement is still gonna do what law enforcement does.

We've discussed this way longer than it is worthy of discussing.

That sucks man ~ sorry to hear that. I bet there is a ton of that going on. While I do feel bad for my guys that are onsite Ive done everything I can to insure their safety including stopping onsite yesterday to reinforce the new safety practices.

If I am stuck at home - I will be sending out resumes. Not the best time to hire, but hopefully my resume would float to the top of anyone's list w/my experience. What my boss has done in a time of need is not acceptable in my mind and borderline....... <fill in the blank>

Well that is the intended plan for most law enforcement agencies across the nation, law enforcement agencies are being told not to bring in these criminals for these ‘petty’ offenses(which normally is an arrest) into the jail systems.

They just don’t have enough PPE to screen those that may be sick, but in reality they should put a few COVID19 carrier’s in every jail system, as they die off, that should help reduce the inmate population and eventually save tax dollars.
