Fuck hospitals - that's where you catch shit. Take me to the desert and if I die, I had a good run. If I don't, I'll be stronger. :)

Sorry I misstated - it's a "surgery center" not a hospital per-say. They do chemo & orthopedics out of that space. If they did not do chemo my sis doubts they would be doing any testing.

On another note...coming to a commercial door near you..... something to bump into like a trailer hitch sticking out

Good idea overall - Ive never been one to touch the door handles or if I have to Ill grab it where others typically don't. Pricing is crazy but thats "suggested retail" for Rockwood MFG products I'
m sure I can get at a fraction of that cost. Still high though

if I was setting up an office I'd go with these bear traps because they remind me of my bicycle pedals and the scars on my shins from them lol

I can appreciate not taking a golden spoon; but refusing to take advantage of a step up offered by family is not doing you any favors. Not saying to take advantage of them - but denying them to chance to help negates the reason so many people try to accumulate wealth in the first place. Kind of like friends and tools - why buy something you only need once or twice in a lifetime when you have a friend that will let you borrow it for the cost of a six pack?

The money is just on a bigger scale than a ball joint press. lol But if you wait until you are ready you are never going to be ready because land is not getting any cheaper.

I'm not worried about taking advantage. Ive been told to take the money to start my own company - take the money to buy my land - etc. for years. I just know in my heart I always work harder when it's my money. Also know that if I floundered that cash in any way I'd not be able to rest my head at night, because it would be disrespectful to the person who worked so hard accumulating it. Basically I could never live up to their work ethic. They would never hold it against me - I'm my own biggest critic/enemy. Also - if I take this cash and they have medical issues and they run out of cash - another reason not to put my head to my pillow at night.

One of the plants I worked at in Florida earlier this year has foot push/pull handles on their doors inside the clean room. I only messed with them once but thought they were pretty slick to use.

I don't know man. We could be standing on the verge of a correction in the land/housing market. I think prices are over-inflated right now.
You know that's right! Yeah other than really low mortgage rates, my wife & I figured there would've been more properties on the market or seen pricing go down more than it has because of Covid.

Think Ill wait for a while to see what happens. I'm in no rush and had this same offer for years - just now deciding if I want to actually consider it. Covid just has me wanting to GTFO of suburbia and start being rural ASAP.

+ I'm really getting into growing again - & this time it's legal products I can talk about :shifty:

Just in the past week, I noticed a 3 listings that were at least $2 per acre less on average for tracts/cost of land $180-250k range.

Come late June going into July, the prices will come down, folks will be strapped for needed cash.

One of the problems down here, you have to make sure the water rights are not strip from title, these damn oil companies are pulling fast ones on folks who own mineral rights and leasing them out. Very unlikely to get any mineral rights from a property purchase in the values of less than 1 million around here.

We have similar mineral rights issues in PA/NY/WV. I gave up on PA and WV because it's almost impossible to get them for cheap like I want and I know from a buddy's dad's experience what can happen when you do own the rights and sign a lease. Poor guys property was basically ruined, but he cashed that check every month and was happy to do so until they put in a pipeline that took away his road frontage till the road was just about in the house. That's the only reason my search has focused on NY - that and the job market. I'd prefer WV, but unless I'm working remotely that market sucks for what I do. Oh and WV mountains suck for skiing. Followed a storm there a few years ago that dumped 43" on us and the mountains have no vertical so we couldn't even ski in some of the best conditions Ive ever experienced.

Been in a cold war with China for decades but no ones smart enough to realize it or they are paid to look the other way. Not saying this was a planned attack, but it seems to have been used to their advantage for sure.

They figured out what the Russians didn't. Pay the politicians off, act like a lamb and then you can do what you want.

I'm not into foreign aid and all that comes with it but China has taken our place and is taking over Africa and South America. If there ever was a real "Ded Dawn" I'm not fearing the Cubans and Russians....Would be the Russians and China.

I'm all for that lol Traffic is getting back to normal here and I was just beginning to like the open roads. Today's the first day I had to take a "short cut" through the hood to avoid a back up on the highway. Still made me 20 min late lol

Interesting to see how Covid affected the #'s Nearly One Million Construction Workers Lose Jobs in April as Demand Stabilizes | USGlass Magazine & USGNN Headline News
