Well I think the heat from inside the box might make that not work. This is its operating temp range. I hope it never gets 190 inside that box but being black on the outside and this being in direct contact it will be close. Old house my garage door (light color) would be 150 in direct sunlight.

Well I opened up the trailer and expected the rest of the lights to have fallen, to my surprise no more had. So I will be gluing those in place shortly.

Also, the stove area is smaller than I expected. I can fit something about 18" wide in there. Partner Steel makes an 18" version but its close to $300. While that may be what I end up with I thought I would explore other alternatives. I picked up this Eureka off Amazon. Its bigger brother the XL gets a "Top Pick" award from some outdoor gear site. It's worth a shot I guess. I looked for the Stansport with the 25k burners but it was too big as well. Anyhow, it fits! I'll get the flexible hose to connect it to a larger (10 lb maybe) tank that will be mounted elsewhere. Not sure yet.

The Permatex says I need to clamp it for an hour to get best results. Not sure how that is going to happen inside the trailer as there is nothing to clamp it to. My initial thought is the the lights weighs ounces, so clamping probably isn't required. If I can get it stuck to the box with the 3M tape and then use the adhesive around the edges it should be fine.

Now you got it. That's what we do with glass and mirrors. Double sided tape for first 24-48hrs then mastic for the lifetime holding power.

Well I bought two types today at VatoZone... some Right Stuff and some Permatex adhesive. One should work. Fingers crossed.

I love Right Stuff. They should name it Pricey Stuff.

Took the drum off and took it up to a local trailer mfg/parts place. They had a 10" drum with 6x5.5 bolt pattern. But the outer bearing was much larger... inner bearing is same size. Guys looked at the drum off the trailer and said they haven't used bearings that small in a long time. Now my guess is that they deal with car haulers and heavy duty trailers all day long. So in reality I am sure these are fine for its use. But what pisses me off is that if I need to replace them its going to be damn near impossible. Only option being to rebuild the spindle which I do not want to do. So it looks like adapters are gonna be the answer. Not real happy about it but it will work.

I get what your saying about the spacers and would not be happy either. That said - Ive only seen spacers fail when they are a crappy brand and not taken care of or installed improperly. I'm certain you won't have issues - you buy quality and take care of your stuff.

On a good note - your track will be similar to that of the truck so some good news with the bad.

The 6061 alloy they are made from is what we use for commercial extrusions on curtain walls and storefronts. Wish they would list what exact 6061 it is. There is a drastic difference between the weakest and strongest of the 6061's. We use 6061 T6
Small print says not for on-road use so be mindful of that BS.

Also ordered Dee Zee ATV Utility box that I will experiment with. I want some side boxes above the fenders but its just shy of 36" between the tent supports. So a 36" box won't work... plus the 36" undermount tool boxes I've seen, most are pretty damn deep (14-18" deep) which would make them stick out too far. Anyhow, the ATV box is 35x12x12. So the plan is to lay it on its side (downside to this is the latch will now be on top.. potential for water intrusion is greater). Use some stainless cable to let the lid open to a 90 degree angle and then be used as a shelf. So we'll see. I only bought one to start with but I "think" it will work. It should be here next week sometime.

China & Japan have been dumping massive amounts of aluminum into our market below value for decades in order to drive US businesses out. If it weren't for that I'd not know the numbers as well, but I read it in the news all the time.

The Silverback I know would just put the proper axle and brakes on the trailer. It is obvious the stock one is not up to the standards the rest of his rig was built at.
