So you ever get a battery?
Not a Toyota guy sorry everyone. I own a dodge Ram. That said I do have this scout trailer. I was wondering if you have made much changes on yours? I did a few things differently then you and a few the same. I love this thing but have only had it out a few times. Also I was wondering where you got the extra jack mount circles from. That seems like something I would like to add to mine.

Made some progress the past few weeks. Nothing spectacular. Too many other things getting in the way. But I did get 4 Baja Designs S2 work scene lights mounted, 2 on each side. Still need to wire them up. Ordered some insulated 12ga wire and it will be here tomorrow. Also got everything for the solar and power wiring. 2 power monitors (one for input and one for output) to monitor volts/amps in and out using a shunt. Already had a Blue Sea Mini on/off switch and 12 port fuse block. Also need to wire up the BatteryMinder solar charge controller. 100 watt solar panel arrived today but I am second guessing it. Its big... Don't really need it that big as the trailer won't have the fridge in it. The plan is to have the panel stored under the tent and pull it out and set it at camp to get the best sunlight. This 2 pin waterproof connector should allow that. Will need to build a frame to hold the solar panel under the tent and then a structure that allows it to sit on the ground and be angled at whatever angle is needed. Some strut from Home Depot should do the trick for the second part of that. No pics.. I know... I suck.
Alternator from truck should charge it going down the highway.
And the alternator will put out more charge then the solar panel ever will. This is always my hang up with the idea of going solar. I have not had a camping trip yet where I did not drive for a at least an hour or two each day.
some of us hike in places where trucks can't go and spend multiple days at a base camp/truck
SLOW.. got hung up on the location of the switches for lighting. So its stalled. Two questions -
1 ) How are the repairs to the trailer coming along?
County sheriffs office has a unit that inspects them like 2x a month. I just took it in and got it inspected to prove it wasn't stolen. They gave me a piece of paper and then I took that to go get tags.2) How/ where did you call the DPS for getting the trailer titled?
