This was as much as I planned on doing but then...

Found a front diff on craigslist that needed to be rebuilt.

rebuilt

found some manual hubs

It was time for new tires so decided to stay with same size
265/75/16 ProComp M/T's

got side tracked and got this to build
1970 FJ40

Ended up parting it out

continued on conversion
removing transmission

changing out output shaft

4wd output shaft and 2wd output shaft

new transmission mount and new center section of driveshaft

changing out shifter base

Pressing manual hubs into my spindles. Wanted to keep the ABS so had to press the manual hubs into my spindles

ABS ring

putting in front diff

manual hubs

cover fits right over the hub

trail gear sliders.

all welded up getting a coat of paint

1st wheeling trip Jambo 09

BVORR Feb 2009

Then came a AllPro rear bumper

Then came across a good deal for a AllPro front bumper with full belly skid all the way to crossmember for $220

Replaced the 1.5" block with a H3 leaf
Added a Aussie locker in front.
