I haven't had Sam Houston whiskey in a while. It's bottled down the street from my wife's aunt.

Damn the one day I don't have any IPA in the fridge. I can drink extra tomorrow to make up for it right?

Should have said something sooner! @tex always keeps "spare" IPA around and I have half a dining room table full I need to drink.

Guilty.
I had a Deep Ellum Dream Crusher at lunch today along with a prairie bomb. Delish on tap.

Home brew coffee stout from next door
I got 2 home brew stouts from a co-worker today. They need a few more days before they are ready. He added some whiskey that was aged for a week with coffee beans. Should be around 10%

Those sound really good. The coffee stout I had was brewed back in September. It had a good coffee flavor was not too over powering.

I think this little bottle was about $30. I traded a $15 bottle of beer for it to the beer manager at a Specs up here. It came in box and everything.

Description
We make Ola Dubh 30 by taking our Old Engine Oil (amped up to 10.5%) and aging it for up to 6 months in casks that previously held Highland Park’s phenomenal 30 Year Old single malt whisky.

Ola Dubh (pronounced ‘ola-doo’ and Gaelic for ‘black oil’) was conceived in 2007. It was the first ale to be matured in whisky barrels from a named distillery and, with traceable casks and numbered bottles, it is a beer with real provenance.

This amazing brew has been aged in selected oak casks formerly used to mature Highland Park 30 Year Old Single Malt Whisky, adding complementary whisky notes to our chocolatey, bittersweet beer.

Your keyboard word smithing is alway entertaining. That description was a copy and paste from untapped. I would never pay that much for a beer hence why I traded a cheaper beer for it.
