Me...Army retired 2014, enlisted guy, I was on the 20 something year degree plan, Graduate in 2013

I had a few tonight while sitting here in Lajits

Man I love Lajitas.. we did it about 3 years ago and want to go back. Good times.

Wife said we could go anywhere where I wanted for my birthday. So I said fuck the city, fuck human cattle I want to go back to the most amazing place in Texas.

Back in 2013 my wife and I both got laid off on the same day (different companies... hers was bought and she knew it was coming and had a job lined up and I was blindsided... got an above average bonus just 6 weeks prior) anyhow.. so we both had time to burn and the little one was not in school yet so we loaded up the Taco and went to BB area. I drove from Lajitas to BBRSP every day to "explorer" and then the evenings were spent in Terlingua. Had a blast. Wife went back to the grind a week later and I stayed at home for 4 months. Best vacation ever!
