Those are awesome. A good friend of mine was a big photo taking person (there is a word for it... Photog maybe).. anyway he was also an avid hiker/mtn biker/kyakers/etc. So he had tons of photos of the outdoors. He was also older when he finally married his long time GF. He found a photo of her and him and bought some software. This software made a collage photo of the one photo using all small images of his thousands of outdoor photos of the two of them. Now this was 12-15 years ago and and he had a very nice PC but it took that thing about 2 days to create the final image. He saved it as a HUGE .jpg ... each "pixel was maybe an 1/4 inch and had it printed out in high rez (18x30 or so) and framed. I thought it was super cool and the final result was amazing. I imagine there are similar software out there today (have not looked) and I bet the results would be even better.

On a Mac, iPhoto will do that as well. It's a stock feature.
