Going to see your house on a cover of Better Homes and Gardens soon.
Im trying to knock out at least one honey-do a night right now. Trying to do it all on the weekend isn't working out for me. Plus hunting season is here.

Salt cell on the pool went out... ugh. $1050 for the part. Luckily the install should be super easy. I still need to replace one of the LED lights in the pool but don't want to spend $900 plus install on a fucking LED light that should have lasted years but its shit and didn't.

I've had to replace both of those in my mom's pool. Those old halogens sucked ass trying to swap out with bunch of tiny screws holding the faceplate on. I've also had to dive to the deep end to replace the suction basket guard a couple of times as well.

You might need a pipe wrench for the salt cell. Those suckers get pretty tight after use plus it might have a little vacuum on it as well (system dependent).

I remove my salt cell once a quarter to clean it... it comes off easy.

I got my Sonos surround sound system in. The speakers came in but the wall mount brackets for the two Era 300's was delayed until today.

We got an 85" Samsung Frame on order. Found it for a great price but the downside is it'll take two+ weeks to get here. Oh well, we saved a ton of money so it's not a big deal.

I got another truck and trailer load of shop stuff over to my garage. I got all of my ammo and ammo cabinet moved over along with a work table. So I've got about 2/5ths of my old shop moved so far. I've been throwing out as much stuff as I can as well now that my house is done and I won't need cut-offs of piping or wood.

My kiddo helped me get some outdoor furniture put together for her mom. She had a choice between taking a nap or helping dad in the garage and she chose the garage! We had a blast!

These will hide the trash cans. My wife is going to plant stuff in the boxes and maybe have some vines grow up the plastic looking wood.

Fought my AC for a few hours this evening before work. Just as I had it narrowed down to a bad compressor and decided I was just going to go ahead and upgrade the whole system now instead of waiting for spring, the compressor kicked on and everything went back to normal. My dad found a print while I was trying to figure out how to bypass the diagnostic controller as a last resort to see if I could force the compressor to run and it showed an internal overload in the compressor. Guessing that was what was keeping it from running and it just took forever for it to reset itself.

check the cap, if that’s bad it’ll draw too many amps on start.

If it was the overload it could just be from the heat. Use a water hose to cool the compressor off and it will reset faster. You might want to add a hardstart kit to the unit. Gives it a little extra umph on start up.

I got some Google cameras up at my mom's house. I went with those for ease of use for her. The interface is extremely simple and she can figure stuff out without me.
While I was at my mom's working, I went ahead and put in some extra Simpson hurricane hardware I had leftover from my house build on her deck. I also replaced a large broken piece of siding on the deck as well.

I got my garage cleaned up and organized. I put away a few moving boxes of stuff into cabinets.
It's heavy trash pickup this week so I got a ton of trash and boxes out of my garage to the curb.
I installed the medicine cabinet for the downstairs bathroom.
I didn't get as much done as I planned but I was tuckered out from the work week and it was still too damn hot outside.

Neighbors tree broke last night and fell on our fence and partially into our yard. Missed our shed, windows, and AC. He’s having a guy come out tomorrow to clean it up and take the rest of the tree down. Also said he’s going to put some new posts in for the fence so it’s no longer falling into our yard. Current wood posts are warped and bending. Going to put in some galvanized posts to straighten it back up.

You sure it didn't land on the AC unit?

Spent a few hours on the yard today before the rain moves in tonight/tomorrow. I haven't touched my yard since the heatwave started. Just gave up and let it turn into a hayfield. But I've had some Bermuda popping up the last few weeks so went ahead and threw down some fertilizer and pre-em ahead of the rain. Might be a little early for the pre-em but in another couple weeks I’ll be out of the country so it was now or never. Have a couple trees I need to trim but probably won’t happen today. Next week is reserved for putting out blinds and planting food plots.

Spent a few hours this morning trimming/felling some trees in the backyard. Hoping to get this area some sunlight to grow grass. It was only getting about 30-60 minutes of sun a day and seeds never took. Going to give it another go in the spring. Also cut down a bunch of decorative trees and bushes that my wife didn’t want. Have a tree on my back fence line that needs to go because it’s dying and is in the way of me replacing the fence. But not going to do it until I can get hold of the owners on the other side of the fence because they have some sort of vine/ivy that grew up the fence and into the tree. Last thing I want is to cut it down and then get sued because “I’ve been growing that ivy for 30 years, it’s like my baby’s, blah blah blah”. But it’s all going to have to go anyway when the fence is replaced so I don’t know what to tell them. Just trying to stay on good terms with the neighbors as long as I can.

I took off work yesterday to take delivery of my new stove and fridge. While waiting for them to arrive at the house, I cleaned up and organized a bunch of stuff and got the house ready for the delivery (I covered the floors with cardboard paper and tape to protect the floor).

The quality of both the fridge and stove is awesome! Both are built like an absolute tank!

I've got to redo the header board above the fridge. I'll take care of that later with some two-sided 3M tape once I cut it down 3/4" to clear the grill on top that swings upward to open.

And it looks like we got upgraded to a stove with a griddle because we ordered the standard 5-burner stove that was the cheapest one they made. So that was nice to see!

And after the appliances were put in, I got the fake electric fireplace put together, hung the new 85" Samsung Frame TV and got the new Sonos surround sound system installed so we could have a movie night tonight (my daughter's been asking for a family movie night all week :) so we watched Raya and the Last Dragon). I got the mess of wiring, wifi router, network switch and Sonos cabling all ran behind the "fireplace" which was a bunch of work.
