Those are nice! I don't recall ever seeing a cast aluminum one. I might just do something like this. Hampton Bay 36 in. Steel Collette Fire Pit with Spark Screen-L-FT629PST-A - The Home Depot But we just don't really use it that much and with summer around the corner the chances of firing it up are slim to non for about 6 months.
Might just build one out of stone too.

There is a guy in either Austin or Wacko that makes some really nice ones out of old propane and scrap metal, $300-500 range and last a life time, check craigslist, if you don't see any just wait till fall time

Thats pretty damn cool. An old co-worker who I keep up with on the Book of Faces bought a cool firepit thats shaped like a 3D skull. I'll have to find a pic of it.

I was painting our master bedroom today and I get a call from my dad. They are out of town and said a neighbor called because someone drove over their stone mailbox and it was all over the place.
I get over there to this. Car is gone which is shocking since that is solid Austin stone. Call the cops to file a report and start cleaning it up. Looks like there are some pieces of a passenger side trim and turn signal housings. Cant tell what kind of vehicle it was but I am guessing truck or SUV. I think the saddest part of this whole thing was 2 cops showed up and they said 2 officers have to show up to any call right now due to the crap going on. I thanked them for everything and offered them something to drink.

That sucks that they have to do that. Do you know what was going on Friday by the office? I kept hearing a lot of emergency vehicles going by on 30. I heard our lame duck was going to be in town. I bet he his planning a repeat. Got to get that gun law past so he can leave in glory.

Yeah I was there till 5:30. We have 9hr days Monday - Thursday and a 4 on Friday. Its the first time I have worked that late on a Friday in a long time. We had to cancel our trip to San Antonio this weekend but I told my wife she is allowed to go when we get back.
I mowed my mom's rent house lawn twice (cut high & cut low) which is a decent sized property with a damn push mower 
Also, ended up trimming all the trees on the property and have a bunch of cedar drying out to burn later. I reorganized the wood pile and added all the new cedar to it. Apparently the tarp blew off at some point and it wasn't covered anymore.

Just ordered some solar powered rope lights for outside. It looks like I am about to be doing some landscaping at the request of my sandwich maker. I will try to get some before/ after pics of all this. If it comes out like she is thinking it will look pretty good.
